A Yes and a No answer from me.

I think if the Airlines of the 80's/ 90's had charged less for their flights, Then maybe we wouldn't have all the 'Loco's' growing.

In those days people were very limited to where they could go, And when they could go. The Airlines dictated to the Pax how much it would cost them to travel.

So, eventually people got fed up and certain upcoming Entreprenaurs decided to offer low cost.

I guees the main Airlines BA, BMA etc shot themselves in the foot, And the table was turned with a new attitude on travelling.

Airlines like Air UK were quite cheap and flexible, But in the end it wasn't enough to stop this change in the industry.

I am happy to see more Airlines wether it be Loco or non loco, The more the better for the traveller, But I have noticed one thing about the Loco carriers.

They say you get nothing for nothing, And if you do it's a bonus, What they do is sell the flights 'cheap' only for so long to prove that they are a cheaper alternative.

Then that fare gets 'hiked' up significantly obviously to make up for the special offer fares.

As an example, Travelled Jet2 for 3 years to AMS did not pay more than £51 in that period, Now the ret fares are £91 +

I think that's a significant increase.

I could go on, But at the end of the day sadly some Airlines will stay some will go regardless of it being a 'loco'.
