Board fires complete Management at Atlasjet
newpapers in turkey reported that the board of Atlasjet Turkey fired the complete management with immediate effect.
the ceo, dfo, flt.trng.manager, quality manager and commercial manager had to go a couple of days ago. no reason has been stated. at the same time World Focus Airlines has a new owner and has been renamed into Anka Air. |
Hope no typos in your last line.
Typical: a CFIT accident (subject to final investigation) occurs so they fire all the people best prepared to fix the problems for the future safety of the passengers ! |
Typical Turkey: the same people will start a new airline in a few months. Nothing new.:rolleyes:
They used to be very good in running an AOC for summer season and liquidfate it by the time Eurocontrol figured out they were not paying their overflight fees :\ And this year after year! So avoid turkish AOC's except for the ones that have been there for years or are linked to European carriers both as SLF or as Cockpit crew...:suspect: |
he same people will start a new airline in a few months Mutt |
As this is turkey they sure can :}

Atlas Air and Saudi
Atlas Air flew in the Saudi Hajj charters from BHX this year. The aircraft was branded in Saudi Colours

jetstream - maybe I shouldn't say this about a Turkish airline, but is that pic kosher?? :eek:
And I'll whisper this since I'm Ppruning from work - will someone sack my firm's entire board, please. :} |
A pity, some very good guys gone. Sounds more like Japanese falling-on-sword routine than Turkish, but I suppose it's the cost of having to use airlines like (W) Anka Air to fill in for you when all your aircraft are very busy leased out in the pit.
None of which will make any sense to people declaring their ignorance under a pseudonym while lumping all the Turkish airlines into one basket. |
None of which will make any sense to people declaring their ignorance under a pseudonym while lumping all the Turkish airlines into one basket. There are two kind of countries: -Countries with mainly good operators and a few bad ones -Countries with mainly bad operators and a few good ones I have Turkey firmly in group two based on experience. :rolleyes: On a positive note: things are improving. :8 Again the Pegasus's of this world being the positive exceptions! |
hi;
The foreign captains working for Turkish private companies including Atlasjet, are telling that the way these companies managing their companies are much more proffesional than most of European private companies
|
Sad to hear. Some excellent guys there. Was just speaking with D.I. a few weeks ago.

I wonder how many extra lbs of paint those planes are carrying with them. They change every year the cs or the name...:confused::}

AtlasJet will pull out of Saudi at the end of the month.
