Magic Bird Air

Does anyone have any info on current problems with Magic Bird Airlines?

I’ve heard that both their ATPs are impounded and that their contracts have been lost to other operators…

Doesn’t sound good and hope it’s not true for you guys…

Magic Bird went into administration last Friday I believe. One of their aircraft is grounded in Marseille, the other is in Coventry. Some of the pilots are still flying on Atlantic Airlines ATP's on Atlantic's routes however.

There's a couple of FK-50s of theirs (well, in their livery anyway) at Maastricht.

The "alliance" was that Magic Bird, being a new start- up company, did not have their own AOC. Atlantic Airlines harboured them under their own AOC and carried out maintenance in return for the use of Magic Bird's ATP's and crews on Atlantic's routes.
