Servisair

Has Servisair just rebranded for the third time in about five years? Following the GlobeGround merger they've been Servisair GlobeGround, then the beginning of last year they changed to Penauille Servisair to align themselves closer to their parent company and to give the company a fresh look, and now the website is showing the company as just being Servisair. Is this part of a new strategy or is it just because they've realised nobody uses the name "Penauille"?

Also Airport Agencies (sister company) is being rebranded into the same logo as P-Servisair.
I wonder how much this one will cost. Cosidering they are on a major cost saving venture in just about every other possible way. :ugh:

I've read a couple of copies of the company newsletter, and was aware they were undergoing a major restructuring and cost saving initiative, which is why I was surprised they would consider rebranding now. Maybe they've realised the name was too much of a mouthful when you need a catchy name in aviation, maybe it was because the company will always be just Servisair or maybe Monsieur Penauille wants out?

Still no official announcement on the website, despite the change in logo. Also no information has been passed down as to whether we will be getting updated lanyards, name badges, potentially the new cyan coloured ties/neck scarves to fit in with the new look from the name change in January 2006. I'm not surprised that the name has changed given that Penauille probably wanted to separate the rest of the company from us, but also in the airline industry we always have been and always will be just "Servisair." Just a shame given the cost cutting and financial precariousness of the company, that money has to be spent sorting out another renaming, with subsequent rebranding for GSE and uniforms.

What does "Penile" mean any way????:) :) :)

finding_nema 14th Mar 2007 22:05

Penauille was the name of the owner of the company. Even with the new logo, the company still says they're owned by the Penauille Group as they have been since 1999, and there's been no official indication of any change of ownership or even an official announcement about the name change. At EMA, one or two of the staff didn't know the name had changed. All part of somebody's master plan ...

Servisair re-brand

Was it the staff or the management that did not have a clue at EMA? The latter have a long history of it.
