Flightline

Hi

Does anyone have any info on what routes Flightline are doing at the mo, from MAN, also what last summer's routes were.

Thanks

SH

Pick any 2 or 3 BA Connect routes at random on any day of the week and you won't be far from the mark and the same goes for Titan. Kept alive by BA, both of them.:D

Flightline have recently leased in a MD83. Is this to be used for ad-hoc work or are they going to use it on charters?

flightline md83

HI all

Flightline will operate four MD83's this summer on their AOC. 3 based in DUBb operating charter flights and a pure adhoc aircraft based in MAN . the aircraft is planned to operate Adhoc and ACMI flights ..
This is along side a MAN based 146-200 ..

GBALU53 5th Mar 2007 20:16

G-FLTC has been down over the sea into Jersey operating the late morning BAcon flight without the egg a number of times recently so this must suggest it is based in Manchester?:ok:

They also operate an Air Wales ATR ah hoc out of SEN.

TechProblem 7th Mar 2007 16:30

That ATR is a Flightline A/c with GR flight crew and flightline cabin crew, its going to be used by euromanx for the next week while one of there a/c is in for Maintance.

The MD-83's might be doing Chartar Flights out of manchester this summer, i think they might be replacing AirClass who oped a 737 last summer.

MD83's . one of the MD's will be on fleet standby and ACMI charter !!
MAN is Flightlines second bigest base behind ABZ .
they are recruiting for cabin crewat MAN

TechProblem 10th Mar 2008 10:59

They maybe have there biggest base at man, although there haven't been many movent's betweem say Aug of last new to End of Jan.

But if that is whats going to happen then good good :) :ok:

welshboy26 10th Mar 2008 17:53

ACMI = Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance

In other words the provider (e.g. Flightline) deal with everything operational leaving the customer to deal with marketing

And leave the customer to deal with fuel, and overflight costs, and landing & navigation fees, and catering, and bar ..................

welshboy26 12th Mar 2008 12:29

thank you for that..very useful to know...

in reagrds to the md83 based at manchester this summer...when you say ad hoc what kind of flights will they do and for whom...will it be for a charter airline or holiday airline eg monarch etc??

Wellington Bomber 12th Mar 2008 14:21

WelshBoy

Basically it is on standby all the time, waiting for aircraft to go tech or be late due to delays or even one offs for lets say football charters.

It is available for anybody at anytime as long as they have the cash
