New airline: BA Cityflyer

In the weekly CAA licensing update today a new airline has applied for a type A operators licence: Cityflyer Express Limited trading as BA Cityflyer. They have also applied for permission to operate scheduled and charter flights between any combination of points under the terms of their AOC.

Head office is Pioneer House in Didsbury.

Presumably the new entity for the remnants of BACON that will operate the RJ100s into LCY.

Connect Air,Air Europe Express,City Flyer,City Flyer Express,British Airways Citi Express,BA Connect,BA City Flyer,what ever next?

BA hold onto the LCY slots with planes we cant get rid of with cheap crews untill they are booted out by mainline just in time for the 2012 games connectexpress.LTD

Book at BA.com where you will not find a link to anything outside of LHR for the best deals.

Haven't Qantas got a division called Cityflyer?

Or is that just a term used for their domestic A330s???

Wondered if there was a link - OneWorld and all?

Already exists (sort of) as in flyBE -(A?). Jersey European had to get permission from BA to rename to British European as BA still held the trademark for British European Airways. Provisos were laid down that Jersey did NOT use the full name British European Airways or the initials BEA.

Heard a good one the other day.

All BA domestic flights plus the MAN-JFK to be operated by City Flyer.

Well it made me laugh.:suspect:
