Floatplane....floatplane.... not a seaplane!

Has to taxi for 15 minutes from city before taking off !

We've got them taking off and landing every 15 minutes from the city centre harbour. Even have a control tower on the harbour.

Rollingthunder, I'm fairly sure that the bit I saw on the BBC Breakfast News this morning referred to it as a 'flying boat' which is even more wrong!

Ten out of ten for wishful thinking, but minus several million for accuracy, beeb!

anyone invented floating ILS kit as yet :O

what a fantastic job though - good luck guys!!!!

Funny thing the weather in Scotland - the seaplane arrived in Cambeltown loch the other day under the cloud deck whilst the twin otter was circling overhead waiting for the weather to clear at the airport. The seaplane dropped its pax and left with the twin otter still overhead planning to divert back to Glasgow!!! Bizzare !!

Ce208 'G-MDJE' seen landing on the Clyde in Glasgow the last 3 days so it appears service is resuming.

LFT 14th Mar 2008 12:47

Don't know who altered my post  but it was the last 2 days.

Does anyone have images of the actual "terminal" (:p) facility itself? I mean yes I could just take a jaunt down tomorrow before the football and look but that would take like 20 minutes!

Oh, and hello everyone!

Are the Yoker yobs still firing golf balls at the caravan?....

A great sight to see the caravan departing from the Clyde:)
