Yes , today police arrested one guy of italian caa while he was reciving 125.000 € from Eurojet staff in order to adjust final report of the incident of 2002 . He ask to the caa inspector to file a report in a way that all the responsabilty of the crash was by the (dead) Cpt.
Very Very sad...............

Corrupt more like, if true! But sad for the family of the captain if his
integrity has been traduced, and distressing for passengers and crew
who were involved.

Italy does itself no favours by re-inforcing the image of corruption that
seems to hang over it's establishment.

A good laugh in the movies, but deadly serious when it comes to real life!!

corruption..

Corruption started to cover GA flights which result as false training flights for some guys in tarining...and for the co-pilot of the incident who wasn't properly typed (this is what it seemed)...

hard situation for them and their employees...and for guys like me who was close to start and work for them :ugh:

Sadly, this isn't a one off either and the Italians need to learn that their age old customs of bribery and corruption have no place at all in today's Europe, especially not in aviation. In the rest of the EU, commericial operators throw lots of money at preventing accidents and we throw 125k at hiding them :ugh:

The fact the the CAA inspector was open to the corruption signals to me to believe this may be the tip of a titanic sinking iceberg, but I do hope I'm wrong.
