Orlando Sanford Airport (sfb)

What is everyones opinion on the service provided at SFB?

cornwallis 7th Sep 2006 20:48

I have not been to SFB for a while but I have always found the swissport people a nice bunch. The problem has always been with the miserable immigration people.

hapzim 7th Sep 2006 22:59

Immigration not so bad now.

swissport staff good bunch but could do with getting the loading paperwork out a bit sooner rather than at push time.

controllers please speak a little slower i'm only a brit and high speed american usually means a say again. :ouch:

SwissportSFB 8th Sep 2006 13:22

Hapzim I'm glad to hear immigration is doing better, but the loading paperwork is rarely the controllers fault for reaching your hands at departure time. Many factors can contribute to that such as late pax or heavy freight causing the aircraft to be out of trim. :ok:

hapzim 8th Sep 2006 21:36

SwissportSFB, yes now and then but most places can get it to us 10 mins prior to dept time as we have to process the paper work before we can get it back to you and close the doors. Fairly important flight safety point that we both get the numbers correct without rushing especially as I'm the one in the smoking wreak. Also helps both your and our dispatch on time stats.

Jamie-Southend 9th Sep 2006 20:28

From a regular UK PAX point of view its 30mins from touchdown to butt on hire car seat, MCO is a far different story though:(

SFBOps 11th Sep 2006 13:35

Hapzim, who do you fly for? We're required to get the paperwork to you 30min before departure, and rarely is that not the case.

hapzim 11th Sep 2006 18:24

now that would be telling. being a regular on a uk charter airline the loading paper work is usually holding us up. even more so when they need the gates.

just needs to be sharpened up a tad.

I work for First Choice and find the handling at Sanford fast and very professional. I would even go as far as saying it's the best on our complete route structure including our various UK bases!

Orland Sanford Swissport

It has been a while since i went to orlando, a year or soo. It was always a great treatment, great briefings, and it was fun to ride the golf car back to the plane.
I miss Sanford and regarding the imigration they are as worse as the ones of Kmia. A word in favour of the safety staff very nice and understanding .

Likewise FCA, and find SFB Ops and ramp folk of the highest quality. I've never been delayed due late paperwork from them. Indeed, load planning etc is an example to many. They DO work in advance with expected freight figures etc to produce a good quality load plan in advance, that is both well within limits and notified for the ramp to work to. Compare that to the general poor quality of ramp despatch in the UK, and non existant pre-load planning, and SFB are excellent. Would be happy to see them here in the UK training UK agents HOW to despatch PROPERLY - keep it up guys!!

30w---thanks for the great comments and I would be delighted to go show the chaps in the UK how it is done. Also to all of the pilots coming through SFB there is now a small service fee for golfcart rides to the airplane......English lager!!!!

cheers:ok:

English lager!!!!
It's about time you guys learnt the meaning of REAL beer. It's darker in colour and not full of the gas you have in your 'pop' lagers!! You need a proper old English pub with hand pull ales:ok:

Just read some interesting news in the local newspaper abot SFB's president. He has received a $66000 raise annually with a grand total of $212000 yearly. That is $20000 more than the president of O'Hare (ORD) and $8000 less than the president of the USA.
