Mytravel plans for Summer 2006

Hi everyone,

Does anyone know what Mytravel's plans are for Summer 2006, in terms of what types of aircraft and bases they are going to have at UK airports?
Their fleet is just getting smaller and smaller, I know over the last few years thet have had financial problems, but I thought things were starting to pick up for them, due to how they have scaled back their operations, such as dropping the MytravelLite brand and scaling back aircraft and jobs.

But everytime I look at their fleet details another aircraft has left the fleet, for one reason or another.

I hope Mytravel do not disappear all together and lets hope they sort their financial problems out so they become one of the best charter airlines/ holiday companies, as they once were. (Well after First Choice of course!).

Thanks for any help,

Cheers, firstforfristchoice (Nick).

During the winter a number of aircraft have departed to Canada operating for SkyService. These aircraft will be back for the summer some of them back from Canada and some from Mytravel AS (Premiair)

Hi,

MyTravel Group PLC posting fantastic financial results in December. If it had not been for higher fuel costs, which effectively put MyTravel a year behind turnaround, the company would have been back in profit in all 3 divisions last year. MyTravel now however, anticipate an overall group profit for 2006.

During the low yield Winter Season, as with most other Tour Operators, MyTravel lease aircraft to Hajj airlines and to Canadian operators where demand is much higher at this time of year.

For Summer 2006, the fleet should be (please correct me if I am wrong):

4 x A330-200s
1 x A330-300
2 x B767-300s
1 x B757-200 (Rumour of a 2nd?)
3 x A321-200s
14 x A320s

New routes to Brazil, Djerba, Holguin, Cayo Coco, Trivandrum and Ovda are due to start this year or commenced this Winter.

Premier Gold Service has been enhanced in several ways and there are to be new economy cabins on the A330-200s for Winter 2006/2007 with 31" legroom as standard (the same as BA).

New On-Time Performance results for Summer 2005 released today from The CAA show MyTravel as the most On-Time Charter Airline with over 77% of flights departing and arriving on time.

Hope this helps!
