Which should I choose

Hi guys

I'm flying to Oz in Jan and have a sticky problem. I don't know who to fly with.

Have found a fare for Gulf Air for £670 inc taxes which requires a 12hr stop in Bahrain on the way there but have seen you can get a hotel airside for US$20 for upto 12hrs.

Have also found Japan Airlines for around £20 less but this requires a hotel accom which the airline pay for on the way back. Luckily my wife has a 3G phone with a 3G sim (which helps) that I can borrow to be in contact with the real world.

Gulf Air is Airbuses and Japan is Boeings. Only thing with Japan is that to leave Tokyo I need to pay airport tax and they way it has been described to me it will be both ways and that's £10 each where as I don't pay anything like that at Bahrain.

I don't know which one to choose.

Anyone had any experience of these or websites that have passanger opinions on. I found one but it's all business and 1st class pax and no economy class pax opinions.

Help me please make my mind up.:zzz:
