Airbus's replacing 737's

Anybody in flight crew know if it is true that the Airbus's are going to replace the 737's at LGW permanently?

gofer 10th Aug 2005 21:55

Buses

No the plan is to use trains instead !

Gatwick is a big place with many airlines - which one or ones are you talking about ? Then perhaps somebody can help try and answer your very fuzzy post.

Would that be Skytrains then?

If it's BA your talking about then no doubt that would be the case eventually and then the old clapped out 737's will be dumped on BACX . . . . .

MarkD 11th Aug 2005 13:21

couple of other threads running on this (BA new routes and what's happening at BACX)

I believe the easyJet A319s have already replaced their 737s at Gatwick :}

WOW GOFER, why don't you just shoot flyer for not being a bit more detailed, the others didn't seem to have a problem giving him a more humanistic answer. How Rude you sound!

You can't be talking about BA then as they have recently announced that the 73's will be serving those 4 new routes out of LGW from March 06.

So which 'mainline' do you refer to???

Trislander 16th Aug 2005 15:57

And as far as I'm aware 'Mainline' is actually the long haul division of BA and that at LGW that you are referring to is a division known as 'Eurofleet'?

:confused:
