First Choice V Virgin

I'm just about ready to book my annual trip to Orlando for me and the family. In the past I’ve gone with Virgin from Manchester on one of there 747-200. This year I have a dilemma as First Choice have quoted me a very competitive price compared to Virgin. I was wondering what you aviation enthusiast thought First Choice or Virgin to Orlando?

Virgin Pro’s
Scheduled Flight
Direct to Orlando not Sanford
Better plane? (747-400 V 767)
Bigger luggage allowance.

First Choice Pro’s
Bigger Seat pitches
Better IFE system
Cheaper

Also does anyone know if all the new First Choice planes are up and running?

Ive done Florida a few times with both carriers . A2000/First choice were vastly better. If they are cheaper I would go with them.

Yes, all FCA 767's are here and operational. Pax feedback has been excellent with the new configuration!!

Take your pick, personally I think you'll have a good trip with either..........

FCA all the way!

FCA's new long haul product was intoduced to be real competition to the likes of VS and customer feed back suggest they have got it right. Give it a go and I think you'll be glad you did.

FCA Defo, This is the exact reason they put so much effort into their new longhaul product, to pinch existing pax from Virgin and others, Ever heard the expression "Paying for a name" thats what Virgin Holiday pax do day in day out, save your money, get a better service and spend more haveing fun in Florida!
And yes 3 767s in use at mo BL/BK/AN, BM due in Jan 06, 2 more for delivery by 07.:ok:

Has the service on the new aircraft been reliable? I heard that FCA had quite a few problems initially, with several flights being serviced by 757 that did not fly direct and had to stop off along the way for refueling.

The 757 was used because 1 of the aircraft was late being deliverd but all 767s are now in operation.

We returned from Sanford a couple of weeks ago and can confirm the new First Choice seating is excellent. Good service as well and if some people can get over their Virgin snobbery then Virgin will be in trouble and forced to improve their offering.

BradfordBoy

Would you say the service was better than Virgin's?

Save It 20th Jul 2005 21:19

Well guys after your unanimous vote for First Choice, I’ve just booked now for Orlando in September. I got an exceptional deal so I’ve upgraded to Star Premier, for only £50 per person one way.

This article also helped on the Virgin Flyer forum.

Thanks for all your help you made my decision much easier.

Get ready for some more post in the future regarding safety on Boing 767, and the age of the First Choice Planes.

I love planes but am scared of flying. – Never been able to work it out :(

Let us know how you get on with FCA that will be interesting.
Bradford boy so how were your experiences with VS down south? I would be interested to hear your feedback?

Best regards
