BACX being bought by Lufthansa??
Heard a rumour today that there is a possibility
that lufthansa might be buying BACX from BA. has anybody heard anything about that or is that just complete rubbish? :O |
Yeah , and lufty sell it`s BMI shares to BA mainline
|
Yeah like BA would sell a subsidiary to Lufthansa that would allow it to bleed off long haul passengers to FRA that might otherwise have routed through LHR. Dream on!
|
Ah but BACX doesn't use LHR at all! LCY - Yes. This rumour flew around before the merger of British Regional and Brymon too though...is something in the offing?
|
I suspect there is little truth in this particular rumour.
For the moment! It is however widely reported, that 'Skippy' sees no reason to maintain a BA presence in the UK regions, unless it makes a profit. At this time, I believe, it does not. And Carnage The previous poster is of course correct. Mainline have retained (I think) all LHR feeder traffic - Currently shared of course with Titan! |
carnage,
BA sold GO to Easy Jet , so why not sell of BACX to Lufthansa? BA doesn't know how to run a regional airline and has no interest in doing so either. BACX is just used to give BA's junior manager's training on the job and has done so for year, even before the merger of Bral,Brymon and Bar, when they have screwed up and made a name for themself, they go back to ba and show of there new skills!!!!!!!!!!! Before you ba guys have a go at me have a look at your tech manager airbus, i belief he is very popular! :E |
If our so-called managers return to BA then may the good Lord help them. After the complete b.......x they've made of CX, BA would be dead and buried in 12 months.
To give you people an idea of the decision making abilities of the twits running CX here's an example which apppeared in the past few days. 'At the moment this is only a proposal and it may well be that it doesn't happen - but it might.' Pass me my revolver! |
"LH buying TH" Don't make me laugh!! What load of c*ap!! Imaging the politics of mainline handing over 370 flights a day with 62 planes to a rival.........think on!
|
"Mend it, close it or sell it...........my preference is to mend it" So spoke Skippy on the failure of each of the three...(or was it four?) previous flawed attempts by his discredited and incompetent generals in CX to achieve a profit.
With increasing evidence that the latest "Business plan" has lead the company in the direction of all previous ones something is going to have to give. The subject rumour seems highly unliklely but with the proposal (which is not a proposal....but it might be!!!) about hoofing the RJs to EDI because these are the latest reason the company is losing money one could be forgiven for thinking that the penny might soon drop with our Australian friend. He needs to seriously address CX, more importantly those who are running it. There is plenty of evidence that those bits of the business which have been sold off as a result of previous reviews are doing very nicely thank you in the hands of their new more able owners. The truth is that CX has no future whilst management whose only accolade is consistent and persistent failure remain in office. |
ummmmmm - shades of Duo me thinks but without Messrs Spencer and Bridger to really s***w things up with their lies.
Hopefully common sense will prevail and someone will see that there is stillmarket for a decent regional airline without cutting back on the service |
Not only....but also.....
:O I have recently brought this up with my FM, who actually confirmed this is being seriously looked at as a possible idea. "It may happen, or it may not" was also the phraseology, and it was then pointed out that this phraseology had been used and proved on several occasions before - mainly relating to imminent/possible/probable base closure.
Expect an announcement soon was the only thing which finally prevented me from believing it any further. I have to think this is a pity, because as someone else already noticed, all the bits which have been sold off have nearly instantaneously made a profit, from cargo (GSS) to lo-cost. Sorry, of course Babs was the exception, BA sold that one off even though (or mayhap because) it was such a success. Achtung, wollen sie fligien mit mier? JA! :ok: |
Ah but BACX doesn't use LHR at all! BA sold GO to Easy Jet all the bits which have been sold off have nearly instantaneously made a profit, from cargo (GSS) |
Carnage Matey, people already do connect to other airlines without going via LHR...it's only BA who think they are the only airline in the UK and everyone is so very, very depenent on LHR. Suckers.:)
|
"but BACX doesn't use LHR at all!"
So shall we stop trapping on about LHR? I am interested by the suggestion that; "all the bits which have been sold off have nearly instantaneously made a profit, from cargo (GSS) to lo-cost." As has been pointed out neither GSS, nor Go were 'sold off' as such, and certainly weren't 'sold off' from BACX So which 'sold off' bits exactly, have gone "instantaneously" from loss into profit? |
Tandem - how about the ex-profitable ex-Brymon PLH operation ruined by BACX management. Air Southwest doing fine now its been 'sold off'.
|
Air Southwest is a lo-cost carrier. Maybe BACX should follow suit! Then perhaps it could sustain niche markets. Of course, it may not then remain 'British Airways'.
Wonder how ASW pay rates compare with BACX? Or even Brymon for that matter? |
It's really comical how quickly and easily Carnage and Tandem alwways rise to the bait.........:}
