Ryanair > East Midlands to Dublin Route
 

Does anyone know how the Ryanair Nottingham East Midlands Airport to Dublin route is performing??

I was told last night by a passenger on the 22:05 FR539 to Dublin that only 15 passengers were on board!! I find this very hard to believe.

we oten get 15 or less on the WW out of dub!

Yeah a few people do know the numbers - Ryanair, EMA, WW, CAA (possibly), but you'll have to wait!

I don't know the official numbers but I know FR are the number one carrier between Ema-Dub when i've done the flights there always seems to be a good number coming off Ryanair flights with as Diddler says us at Baby only averaging at 35 on our flights im suprised that we keep doing this route especially with winter generally being slower with less people going for stag & hen parties.

Since the public smoking ban in Ireland, inbound leisure traffic has been greatly reduced.

Folk now prefer go to Prague, Budapest etc for hen, stag, and short breaks as the prices for hotels/flights can be cheaper.

Thanks for the replies everyone! I know the FR539 is done after the EMA-Murcia return sevice, which always seems fairly full. So obviously the B737 has to return to base (DUB) so it might as well carry passengers!

Does Ryanair plan any further expansion from EMA? The new Rome route was announced recently.

If you download the .csv version of the data which DC10Fan links to on the CAA website, ie from here:

and put it in Excel then you've got a way of trying to calculate load factor. Then you'll need to work out the capacity on the route - check out WW and FR's number of flights (both ways since the traffic is for both directions) by aircraft type and capacity and sum them to give a total for the month. You won't be able to work out the load factor for each airline as the traffic isn't split, but you will see the overall route load factor for the route.

As I said earlier, the airlines, airport and CAA will have the breakdown by carrier, but it's not available to the general public.

baby dont seem to be doing TOO badly! When Ryanair announced the Dublin route, I thought baby would withdraw from this winter but they havent so credit to them!

Interesting stats, brabazon, but I suppose only the companies know the yield from those load factors.

In my experience some rotations are busy, some are not.

The NEMA-DUB services seem to be increasingly operated by B737-800's recently, including the new -800 in Boeing Dreamliner scheme yesterday evening.
