Are you flying with them??

chrisellio 5th Aug 2004 19:09

LTE are now known as Volar. The always use Airbus 321 out of Teesside almost always EC-ILG.

..LTE, the airline with one of the best callsigns around - "Funjet" - is that now consigned to history?

BEST L/CONTROLLER 5th Aug 2004 23:12

I was always under the impression that LTE was something to do with LTU as they both have the same colour scheme, I thought LTE was their Spanish side and LTU the German side, I'm probably wrong but they do look similar.

CHEERS!!!!!!:ok:

LTE was the Spanish arm of LTU.
As Volair, they are still registered at the old LTE address in Palma de Mallorca.
The 757's, which made up the initial allocation, were all ex-LTU and aircraft interchanged between the parent German and Spanish fleets.

Thanks for that,

I thought they had somthing to do with each other..

CHEERS!!!!!!:ok:

A320 and 757. I know a few pilots from that company. I few weeks ago some of them went to work for Iberworld.

jmc757 8th Aug 2004 10:59

I think the reason they changed from LTE to Volar is that they were sold to the Volare (Italy) group. Not 100% but I'm sure i saw that somewhere...

Here's an A321 flown into EDI recently
