anyone know anything about Eirjet?
who? what? where? when?

lowfaresbuster 19th Jul 2004 09:59

i started with eirjet.com

registered on Irish servers- so can we assume along with the name that this may be an Irish start-up?- Maybe picking up the pieces of Skynet?

eirjet.com says:

There was a Paul Shultz who was CFO (Trinidad) British West Indies Airways

There was a Robbie Winders working for Hunting Cargo in Dublin

2 of the other names mentioned are [ex] Skynet - Dan Davy, technical director (of Skynet) and Michael Minogue, director of ground operations and customer services (Skynet)

If they are picking up the pieces left from Skynet, lets hope they do a bit more advertising and marketing :uhoh:

How many Irish start-ups/close-downs does there need to be to before someone realises that the market might be a little saturated with EI/FR/RE??? just a thought....

SNNEI 20th Jul 2004 16:56

There is still plenty of localised opportunity in Ireland.. it just needs someone to come along and do it right...

right aircraft, right routes, right fares and most of all right timings! None of the recent start ups/close downs (with the very possible exception of jetmagic) demonstarted any of the above.

It's all gone a bit quiet on the eirjet front.

As I understood it, Skynet as a brand & operator still exists on paper (despite it's virtual shutdown), so what are eirjet's plans??

Does anyone in SNN know what's going on??
