For your info from another thread.
Air Atlanta are based in Iceland.Excel are based at LGW.

Excel will operate a fleet of 10 737-800 a/c this summer.The
a/c are completely crewed by excel, both flight deck and cabin
crew.

Other a/c for this summer will include leased a/c from Air
Atlanta. They supply flight deck,we provide cabin crew.

Plan for this summer are as follows

3 x B767-200 2 at LGW 1 at MAN
1 X B767-300 Caribbean ex LGW all year
1 x B767-300 To be added later for India flights
4 X B757-200 2 at Man 2 at LGW

G-SATR will operate NBO flight.Empty in,and after crew rest
departs for LGW.Go and say hello. We are a really freindly lot.

Hope this helps a little

Definitely no winglets on G-XLAH, I'm afraid.

ZS-SJP is coming back from SAA, though, and that does have them.

LIMA18 18th Mar 2004 07:29

Yep...

It'll be good to see old Sarah Jessica back with the others.

She's got the best pair of winglets this side of KGS. !!!!!

Does anyone know if Excel still have a 737 with Miami Air?
Think the rego is G-XLAC, without wingslets me thinks!

Oh Dear!!!

I've been away for a while, but I'm glad to see that nothing's changed....You lot need to get a life big time!!!:yuk:

oh-oh 19th Mar 2004 08:23

yoohoo sista!

You obviously need to get a life too, otherwise why would you be here?

:*

XL ONE 19th Mar 2004 13:01

The Miami Air a/c is G-OXLA. As far as I know we will be operating it again this season. Hopefully in full xl colours this time.

Musket90 19th Mar 2004 14:37

Winglets look "cool" on the 737 but they are a pain when it comes to parking. They increase the wingspan by about 1.5m which mean they don't fit on the stands specifically designed for non-winglet NG 737s and A320 family. Boeing should have designed them so they fold in when on the ground.

iko wapi choo 27th Mar 2004 14:03

G-XLAC / G-XLAD WITH MIAMI AIR, G-XLAE WITH KELOWNA FLIGHTCRAFT (CANADA)
G-OXLA OPERATED BY MIAMI AIR (OWNED BY THEM..?) WILL ALSO BE RETURNING.......

Deeko01 27th Mar 2004 20:45

It should have arrived this morning from Boeing Field so whats the scoop winglets or no winglets c'mon the suspense is killing me...........NOT!! :p

GXLAH

GXLAH diverted into Prestwick & landed at around 0830z 26/3/04 en-route from Boeing Field to Gatwick. It refuelled and departed about an hour later.
If anyone wants a photo of it [without winglets ;-) ] , PM me & I'll see what I can do !

dicksynormous 28th Mar 2004 15:51

SJP wont be going or coming anywhere, it was pranged last week. Something about w/s, xwind, rnway departure.
Well you can take the boeing out of africa but you............etc etc.

XL ONE 28th Mar 2004 17:00

has anyone got any more info on sjp and whats happening? Is is a major prang? can't be good for ops. I had heared that all a/c were flying all hours possible this summer with no gaps in the programmes.

iko wapi choo 30th Mar 2004 22:27

if ZS-SJP has been pranged, then SA must be sending another. JP isnt the only 738 they've got!

dicksynormous 30th Mar 2004 22:48
