Airlines Call For Greater Competition
From BBC Ceefax:
AIRLINES CALL FOR GREATER COMPETITION Two budget airlines today called on the aviation regulator to ensure there was greater competition between airports. Luton-based EasyJet and Ryanair claim the British Airport Authority (BAA) is operating a "monopoly" that is holding back the industry. "If Stansted, Gatwick and Heathrow were free to compete openly gainst each other you'd have a much better service and much lower costs," said Ryanair. Easy Jet said: "Customers don't get the best deal when you have a monopoly." |
Well Manchester is more expensive than any of the London airports, so they can't be that bad, can they?
