Stockholm Bromma
Swedish Govt (not just Swedavia) proposes closing Bromma airport in Stockholm, with all traffic moved to Arlanda
Bromma is the Stockholm equivalent of London's City airport - namely modest sized but geographically close to the city centre.
Intention is to convert the land to housing

Sadly the writing is on the wall for Bromma after BRA came out and said they could operate from ARN. I don’t see how BRA can survive then. They offer nothing unique and you might as well just fly SAS to Arlanda and at least get some points.
For some areas it’s actually quicker to get to Arlanda but Bromma has the added benefit of 10 minute check in times and very fast arrivals. It’s basically like a bus station. I flew to Brussels and arrived 20 minutes before departure and still had time to spare.

I like Bromma, I mean the lounge (which is land-side) and facilities are dreadful compared to Arlanda but it is so convenient in terms of distance to central Stockholm and the short check-in is really handy.
With all this hoped for and hyped electrical regional flying and passenger drones coming up, especially in Scandinavia, wouldn't small city airports be the perfect use case for them? Why close it now?
