Another new Wizz Route
Wizzair have today announced another new route to/from the airport to Palermo in Sicily.
Route commences 2 June and will operate three times weekly on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
Looks like the route will operate all year round and bookable right into winter next year.

Mark my words, Luton will end up with just Wizz and nothing else. No business jet traffic, no Ryanair, no easyjet, no nothing of any substance. All seven hangars along the hangar line are now empty apart from TUI after Gulfstream moved out. There were eight hangars but one got knocked down a few years ago with the rest just empty shells. Behind the hangars most of the buildings are now derelict from catering firms to flight simulators. There really is nothing apart from tumble weed, empty car parks and memories of how busy the airport was off apron.

As long as the passengers then have the downloaded Declaration to Travel permit properly completed being introduced from Monday for all UK outbound passengers...Hint... holiday travel is as per the current restrictions not allowed.

It is illegal to go on holiday for what seems like months now including this week, next week and Easter. It is also illegal to drop off and pick up passengers although you would never know it. Blind eyes, from the police, airlines, and the airport but I see it all. They all know what is going on up here but money talks. Hopefully Covid is about to be defeated and we can all get back to normal but it will be no thanks to this lot and particularly Wizz.

The measure from Monday is to deter Easter travel & is compliant on the passenger & the airline so time will then tell if the Johnson Government is as tough as they lead us to believe.

They will be required to show the completed form at check-in, or upload it if checking in online. So it's up to the passengers honesty. Don't know what are the penalties for lying.

Up to £6,400 I saw quoted. You are permitted to travel for legal reasons relating to property buying, selling or letting so a few will travel relating to second homes.
I suspect a couple with kids in tow will be pulled up!?
