It has been rumoured for ages that many E Europeans fly back home from Luton on a Friday and back in for work on Monday using allegedly dodgy letters confirming they are permitted to travel for work on leaving the UK and return.

Utter nonsense. There's no question they'll be banned. Hopefully their airline will do the same!

Can’t see why Wizz would ban them as they have not endangered the aircraft. Surprised there was no video of the arrests.

Do we know it was W6 pax? There were 0B & FR going as well. The TSR flight left with a big delay so likely to be pax from that flight.
Perhaps an airport ban will force their next trip to a more classy airport!

Eleven charged and bailed. So much for their essential trips home.

Is it an appropriate response to draw arms? These people don't respect anything but show of power. In any form, tear gas, taser, baton, kicking, drawing of guns. Whatever they get at home if they dare to act like this. No racism, no generalisation, simple fact of life. Persuasion and unarmed people wearing funny hats and shiny badges won't ever stop someone who was raised in a place where the police was not exactly famous of acting in a politically correct way. Time to realize this if you accept them by the million. Your country is already the land of stabbing because you let bad guys do whatever they want based on political, economic and civil justification. The civil and politically correct way is just not working here. Unfortunately.

Cheap fares combined with reduced moral behaviour results.

I flew out of NCL three years ago at 8am. The only place that was jam packed was the bar, which was doing great trade. the 'leisure travellers'

I used to fly out of Stansted early doors and never ceased to amaze how many people apparently need to have a few pints before breakfast, there is no way that I could even consider it - a full English breakfast, if the bank would give me a mortgage for it; well that's another matter! I really cannot see the necessity (other than the profit motive) for opening airport bars, either land or air side before 11:00 in the morning.

If you’ve been up since 2am anything past 6am can feel like lunchtime.

I have done the same about 30x in the last 3-4 years on a Monday morning, arriving into STN around 6am. Usually heading to the Wetherspoons for breakfast and seeing the bars full of people chugging down pint after pint. Makes me want to be sick to be honest.

Providing people can handle it and behave themselves let them enjoy theirselves. Many of people go away once a year and like to do what they can’t usually do and indulge in some excess. It’s certainly not what I’d do but as long as they don’t cause trouble I don’t object. It’s no different to those in the business class lounge or on the flight knocking back the free bottles of champagne at 8am.

Not necessarily "leisure". Have you never been in Aberdeen departures when BA are charging £350+ one way to Heathrow and a couple of choppers are just in from the rigs ?

Don't think this had any thing to do with drink, the Smithfield has been closed since before christmas as has Frankie & Bennies. The only shops that are open regularly are W H Smiths and Boots, the duty free and Dixons have been open for reduced hours recently.

If think it’s clear to most of us that these individuals are just the dregs of society and see no difference to fighting on the street or fighting in the departure lounge. Unfortunately there is an element of truth in low fares making flying available to the masses. But saying that I’ve sat in long haul business class and witnessed behaviour that required a diversion. I’ve also sat on a Ryanair flight to Prague that was like a party bus. Literally the whole back cabin of the plane were partying to the point you couldn’t hear yourself speak and the language was foul. I knew it was going to be hell when half the passengers turned up at the gate in various forms of fancy dress. I’m pretty certain that the BA flight that day similar time out of LHR wouldn’t have been anything near as rowdy.
