The mix of A321neo/LR and B737-Max9 makes no sense to me what so ever for such a small airline on transatlantic routes. You would have thought they’d stick to one aircraft type. This must add complexity and cost which goes against this kind of operation surely?

They originally ordered the MAX but Boeing couldn't deliver till 2019 hence why they ordered the A321neo so they could start in 2018.

The seven institutions of the European Union (EU) are situated in four different cities Brussels, Frankfurt, Luxembourg and Strasbourg rather than being situated in a single capital city, the Parliament of the European Union is in Strasbourg.
Many people have a misconception regarding Brussels being the Capital of the European Union. Brussels has become the principal seat with all the Institutions including the European Council based or partly based there leading it to be ''popularly'' known as The Capital of the EU.

PRI 041 EWR scheduled departure 1755...& as I too noticed earlier STN screens stating KEF...obviously an operational factor involved, cannot say noticed previous departures.

Very annoying that the independent yet again stirs some bad press for Primera, falsely claiming 737-800 used for TRATL flights for weeks with fuel stops in KEF.
It was used once for EWR last week and once today for BOS.
Twitter folk praying for the liquidation of the airline. Great.

OY-PSA is scheduled for the Newark again tonight 28/08. The inbound flights from the states arrivals have been tweaked slightly for the Reykjavik stop-over.
We have YL-PSC positioning from Stockholm this morning for the Malaga and Alicante flights.
SX-ABY is positioning out to Athens during the day.

They have found themselves another guinea pig:
- Berlin (TXL) - New York (EWR): daily w/e 07JUN19, from 149€
- Berlin (TXL) - Boston (BOS): TuWeFrSu w/e 09JUN19, from 149€
- Berlin (TXL) - Toronto (YYZ): MoThSa w/e 10JUN19, from 149€
So how often is the B.738 actually being used - to sub for odd flights or regularly?

BHX has no chance of ever seeing them on TATL services in the future; though I doubt anyone realistically suggested they might.

Although, when it comes to US services, Brussels and Berlin are - sort of - secondary airports...
Brussels has no AA service at all, UA to EWR, IAH and ORD and DL to JFK. And SN serves, IIRC, just JFK. And BER is even worse, with just a singe year round lfight by UA to EWR. DL to JFK and AA to PHL are seasonal and LH has cancelled its service.
At both airports, Primera sort of fills a void created by the disappearnace of TATL services by Jet Airways (BRU) and airberlin (TXL).

I can’t be the only one thinking that perhaps they should perfect what they’ve started at STN before they attempt these grand ambitions? This sort of behaviour by an airline starting out with a new venture generally only goes one way...

Perhaps, but with the equipment they have there aren’t that many places for them to go to from STN. While they are spread a bit thinly across Europe, they have their few North American cities and are building an arsenal of European destinations from them. I’d be interested to know what their mix of customers is, whether it’s quite equal or more Europeans/Americans.

You are joking EI-BUD. Icelandics do not have a particular good record regarding finance. It looks to me like throwing darts at a dartboard regarding routes at the moment!

Well if you look where they have launched routes from London Paris Brussels and Berlin they are all generally tourist hotspots so maybe not on the dartboard. I'd expect to see Dublin Edinburgh Lisbon Madrid and Barcelona in the future. I'd say Rome might be too far unless they do it as a tag to somewhere else first.
