You should not be jumping to conclusions on something you know nothing or little about, loads are extremely high on this route and don’t forget this route pairing is between two airports owned / ran but the company operating the flights.
this would be the last route route to be pulled, as you put it.
Or they are charging high fares like Eastern Airways do.

It's a bit odd though that there are no fares available in the two lower categories of fare for any flight to any destination from CAX on any date. I suspect it's not that all seats in the two lower fare categories have sold out for all these flights. For example, the seat map for CAX>BFS on 25/6 shows no seats taken and CAX>DUB on the same date shows one seat taken, which would imply that there should be some availability in at least one of the two lower classes of fares, but, like the other flights, only the highest level of fare is available. As I've got a CAX>SEN trip booked in mid-June, I'm hoping it's a glitch but if the seat maps are accurate then I fear the worst.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but don't you need to pay extra to select a seat?

You only have to pay extra to select a seat in the cheapest fare class ('Fly'). An allocated seat is included in the price in the 'Flyflex' and 'Flyfex+' fare classes although you can complete a reservation for those classes without choosing a seat (and have it allocated at check-in). Only fares in the 'flyflex+' class are now available. If that was due to demand, then all the 'flyflex' seats would have sold out and since they include a seat reservation in the price then it would be reasonable to expect some of those bookings to have reserved a seat at the time of booking and hence show as occupied on the seat map.

Personally we are all rather looking forward to welcoming back Loganair to BHD. In many ways one of the founding fathers of the the Harbour Airport along with Spacegrand!! has come home. I hope CAX is just the start of new routes with Loganair.

Daz211...having worked in the industry for over 30 years this is exactly what an airline does when they are thinking of pulling a route so far from being a "ridiculous comment" it's actually an informed one (a rarity on here!)

Also working in the industry for many decades I would agree if ..... the aircraft on a route was a 737 or bigger and the new price was showing was £949.50, it is not inconceivable that the flights are full given the size of the aircraft.

Given the flights are starting in just a couple of weeks is there a potential issue with the readiness of the terminal/runway/certification etc that means the start date is now in question? I would find this more plausible than cancelling the whole operation because of low sales.

Just had a look using Skyscanner at a random summer Friday in July for the late morning flight to SEN. Only full fares available at £162 and the seating plan shows three seats booked. If they were fly-flex fares how many cheaper 'fly' fares would there have been? However there is a train available that gets me into central London, about the same time as the flight would allow, for £70 so I would save almost a ton by going on the train. Even full fare on the train at that time for walk up punters is over 40 quid cheaper. I think some adjustment to the fare structure might be needed to encourage more passengers out Brampton way.

Yes BHD have got in to the whole nostalgia thing too.
The administration block is back to being a Portakabin and they are still have the locals moaning about Jumbo jets landing in the middle of the night.

Indeed. It's actually the case that there is nothing but the highest fare class available on each flight between 4th June and the end of March 2019. Realistically, there's no way that's due to the two cheaper fare classes selling out.

It’s the same for Belfast and Dublin. Someone’s hedging their bets here. Looks like everything is effectively closed out so as to limit EU261 liabilities when they start cancelling. Which they will.
