To be fair to 01475, they did say 'markets' (plural). Apologies if I'm wrong but it seems they are talking about Loganair's general expansion. Brussels-Newcastle and Stavanger-Newcastle have had a few operators to date, only some of whom were successful, as to a lesser extent has Newcastle-Guernsey. 01475 has a point.

According to the Glasgow page, Flybe are to end the GLA-MAN route from the 26th October.
I wonder if Loganair will pick up the route? Do they have the aircraft capacity to do so?

Prior to British Eagle, the very first schedule was by Starways, from 1960 onwards, with a weekly summer seasonal DC-3 GLA to NQY via EXT.
Thinking of more modern times (since the RAF left) and in terms of Loganair expansion, I was just musing that they should at least be given a season or two to make a success before having the "failure" word thrown at them...........

PSO and corporate contracts also form part of LMs network too.
I can see it woking out for them where others have failed because they seem to be more sensible about it all.

Not looking foward to the potential long journey down on the painfully slow atr though, they allow 95min for the saab, how much for the atr, plenty of time to issue the crisps and drinks i guess.
