Rumour is the main contract for which Eastern use the ATR72s (IAC contract ABZ - SCS (Scatsta)) is changing hands. Bristow supposed to be losing the offshore crew change contract at SCS in favour of rivals Babcock, but out of LSI (Sumburgh) - SCS closing down this summer. Babcock use Loganair for their fixed wing transfers out of ABZ. So either Eastern find alternative work for their ATR72s or they will have to lease or dispose of them.

T3 ATRs
T3 only operate the two ATR 72s, they were owned by Bristows but sold to NAC and leased back, so the aircraft maybe returned to NAC unless T3 maintain the leases, however, they do not really have such a use now for these aircraft.

LM are already a customer of NAC, with most of the ATR fleet leased from them. If Eastern do get rid if their ATRs, I can see Loganair taking over the leases.

Aviation is facing really hard times now. Being unemployed in aviation nowadays is horrible.

According to BBC North West, Loganair will also take over MAN to ABZ & INV; not just EDI.
