Looking at the Companies House records, there was a change of address of Loganair’s offices at Glasgow (which on the face of it isn’t unusual), but the accounts are overdue and the last recorded accounts from 2017 showed a loss.

Edit: Tried to "book" a flight from Londonderry but was met with a warning.

Got the same when selecting Derry-Stansted and also Bristol-Aberdeen and a few others. Not looking good at all.

What warning is that? I've just tried to book for July and got taken to payment page no problem. Now and then one of those 'choose every picture with a cat' things pops up but they've been there for ages.

Seems to be 50/50 at the mo, no-one is sure what's happening.

I does sound an odd way to cease operations, especially as it's owned by AIL - why not just move the assets over to Loganair and then liquidate the shell?

Good luck to all the cabin crew and engineers and pilots on securing new employment. Hopefully they get something soon.

Well that escalated quickly. My thoughts are with all those affected, I knew a few employees and spent a bit of time with them at LDY. Hopefully they will have a bright future.

So if BM and LM are owned by AIL. Is LM affected?

Loganair is a separate legal entity so unless they put that into its own administration, it wouldn't be directly affected by BMI.

Especially if people keep confusing flybmi with flybe, as many seem to be doing!

Sad news indeed, my thoughts are with the people whom lost their jobs from this.

On the other hand, Loganair may get what is left of the remaining Embraer fleet!
(Depending on how many air-frames have to be sold to clear any outstanding debt I suppose.)

Sad day indeed. Thoughts and condolences with all British Midland Regional employees.

The conclusion of the British Midland story.

I wonder why they [Loganair] couldn't have offered to save it [flybmi] by arranging some sort of pre-pack administration?
