Looks like the entire A321Neo fleet is back out in force today, particularly out of MXP and LGW. Not sure of the significance of it being August 1st

In many EU counties, like Spain & France it is full holiday shutdown. Madrid & Paris will empty as they all travel.

average of Just over 1200 sectors a day for August... there has been a slow but steady increase from 44 a day in mid June however currently this is the highest sector count planned until next year. 1200 a day is about 1000 short of what was planned pre covid19

All except two of them are now back in service. It also appears that all of the A320neo fleet and several A319's are also now back in the air.

Jethro's also currently stating that 6 A320's from EJU will be returning to EasyJet UK (G-EZTA, TJ, TL, TV, TX & UC). 3 A319's have also already come back to the UK, there may be more but not sure.

Easyjet operated 838 sectors on 31/07. Still some way to go to reach 1200.

Ryanair are operatinbg 850-1000 sectorss Monday to Thursday and 1200-1400 on weekends.

Wizz Air are operating between 450 and 500, down 536 in early July.

Yes should have said a little before my comment - Pre-Covid wanted to run 2200+ ...

Manchester operation increased dramatically yesterday up from 4 to I think 11 including 3 Easyjet Europe aircraft operating ex
MAN rather than from other bases.

Being reported that Easyjet are now licensed for Ukraine, don't know if that means flights or setup a base.

Could it be so they can nab a Kyiv route from Gatwick before Wizz step in, with Ukranian currently at LHR ?

There was a slide on their latest easyJet Holidays presentation which included Ukraine. I took a double take, but it was there.

easyJet will cease based operations from London Stansted, London Southend and Newcastle from 31 August 2020. London Stansted and Newcastle will remain part of easyJet’s route network, and some domestic and international flights will continue to operate, served by inbound flying from other bases across the network. We will be informing affected customers of their options which include transferring to another airport or receiving a full refund in the coming days.

I’ve always thought SEN as a base was a big mistake. STN should have grown to avoid Jet2 getting such a big foothold. So no EMA base and no STN base, did they pay too much for Go-Fly?

I’m not sure SEN was a mistake. Although some routes came and went by all objective measures the sunshine routes and Amsterdam were a roaring success. Loads high and fares generally same or higher than other London airports. This is the ninth summer season, if it was that bad they’d have been off after two or three.
