EZY published traffic figures for September and rolling 12 month ending September for the financial year. For the first time TXL passenger were included in the monthly figures.

September
8,816,427 +14.2%
LF 92.8% -0.8 pp

12 months
88,454,611 +10.2%
LF 92.9% +0.3 pp

There are currently 23 aircraft based at TXL, 5 of those wet-leased which should be replaced by EZY owned aircraft within mid November.

Interview - "Viele Airlines werden den Winter nicht überleben" - airliners.de

"... oder eben an Easyjet, die sich aus Porto zurückzieht."

Meaning EZY will reduce or close its Porto base this winter? After years of expanding this base sounds surprsising for me.
Can anyone confirm this?

Beside this he predicts Norwegian won't survive this winter with oil at 85 Dollars.

He's a well-respected source of hot air and personal expectations .... but I wouldn't bet on what he proposes coming to fruition ....

Easyjet is struggling for some time to hire piltos for its portuguese bases. I think they will reduce the number of planes based in Porto but will keep or even increase the operation just changing the plane base. As an example, with the opening of Nantes base, the daily flight between Porto and Nantes will be operated by a Nantes based aircraft.

Given Flybe wobbles and threats to cut further the network, could there be any likelihood of a Southampton base for UK domestic routes? It's only 65 miles or so from LHR

I'm sure this will have been asked at some point apologies for a repeat question, but what does the X mean on easyJets A321neo's? E.g. "Airbus A321-251NX", I thought it was to differentiate the long range variant but easyJet operate the regular variant.

The NX is for the new door configuration on the A321neo.

New(ish) A320-251Ns
EasyJet still appear to be having problems with their NEOs. Yesterday (24th) G-UZHN (the newest) positioned LGW-SXF for attention - presumably by Lufthansa. Today G-UZHM has gone u/s at Pafos. The return to LGW has been delayed overnight. I wonder if it's rudder problems (which G-UZHI had in the summer) or something else?

Looks Like Easyjet are ramping up their holidays division.
Yesterday revealed the former TUI MD Garry Wilson is joining as CEO of Easyjet Holidays.
Last moth they also nabbed jet's head of E-commerce, so things are getting pretty serious now.

Does this potentially mean more of the future growth will be in the classic bucket and spade routes? or would there be a focus on city break offerings?

EZY has now 25 aircraft based at TXL and celebrates 5 million passengers since Jan 5th.

Airbus introduced the new Flexi cabin on the A321 Neo which means extra door and some internal changes to the cabin to make it now a 220 seater
there is room for 240 again depending on doors
It all depends on the airline and what total they want
The 220 seater enables removing over wing exits and standard 4 doors each side
Hope that is of use

There no LR at the moment except the first for Arkia being delivered
and we wating to see what added on that to identify this version

Having a Flick through the media presentation, if they actually deliver everything they say they will on time, then come 2020, they'll be in a very strong position. Should provide an interesting watch over the next year or 2

The up-gauging of aircraft from 320 to 321 will also provide real long-term growth on existing route network including a reduction in cost per seat.
