Fernlee you sound like that Iraqi Misinformation Minister who waved his hands about & assured everyone all was well as the tanks rolled into town behind him.

BHX-EDI apparently also diverted? One has to wonder why as LCY-EDI just got into EDI as per FR24.
At the moment, FR24 shows about a dozen BE flights airborne. The last to depart was MAN-IOM a couple of minutes ago.

With all the news and uncertainty, I can see why the fuel firm may not want to put god knows how much fuel on flyBe aircraft. Especially when it’s tipped they’re going under tonight. May as well just throw thousands of £ of fuel down the drain. Even if nothing’s been announced. It’s big news now.

Maybe but most of the postings are mere speculation ,we don’t know what is actually happening , Amazing how a diversion or a cancellation can escalate into the company folding

I was going to post:
If Flybe are so vital how come they are losing money hand over fist?
Then I remembered the amount of money the government happily pumps into the railways - which I support - and it is a drop in the ocean to help them.

Let's see what happens at 9pm. That is the moment of truth the FT mentioned earlier today.
From what I understand, three flights have been outright cancelled so far (GLA-BHD/BHX; LHR-ABZ) and two diverted (BHX-EDI/GLA - which will result in further cancellations). a number of inbound flights in the air. Are there any departures scheduled after 8:30 pm on a regular wednesday? If so, it might be worth checking their status.
