The writing is on the wall for SOU,certainly the planning application for the runway extension will be put on hold for some time,With Flybe increasingly likely to fold, and more important the coronavirus impact will have a huge detrimental effect on its future.
Fingers crossed eh for the £200m injection.....

No idea why people are confusing 78 seat turboprops with 189 seat 738’s / 319’s - there will be no magic glut of jets clambering for SOU routes - unless you are an ATR operator there is not much point in hoping for jets to take over - not gonna happen!

Right so from what your saying:
Connect - ‘Please HMG can you lend us £100 mil or were going to go bust.....’
HMG - Sorry pirates - NO - We’re a bit busy right now with a little virus trotting round the world causing mayhem - now saddle up trot off and find someone else to fund you or dip into your own pockets...
Connect - ‘Oh alright if we have to - in that case just to show you how amazing we are we’re going to throw in £200 mill’ - hahahahaha - soooooooo gullible!!

Who knows what will happen. The above says it could go under tonight. Then the rumour of a £200m injection.
If it’s a choice between the FT being truthful or Flybe management, who would you choose.

That would have to be the worst investment in living memory! Nobody in their right mind would invest in this now and in this current climate. £200 million wouldn’t even scratch the surface.
Or he/she maybe a very worried employee right on the edge at Flybe....?

It's not looking good and I hope your CV is polished off

From Stephen Brine MP on Twitter
Sources suggest to me a very difficult night ahead for @flybe and, in turn, @SOU_Airport ... fear sadly this is a moment to brace. Local MPs talking here in Westminster of course.
