Clause 1.3.7 on page 178 of that document. The Slot Release Agreement contains a perpetual restriction on sale or transfer.

These slots are leasehold and not freehold, to use a property analogy. After three years you can make some changes to the leasehold property by redecorating without the landlord’s permission but you never own the freehold.

Also bear in mind that Virgin Atlantic itself had operated two of the three years with Little Red. If it was within a year of winning the jackpot of Heathrow slots as you suggest, it is highly unlikely to have thrown in the towel with that prize so close by.

Certainly my understanding as well. I don't believe the remedy slots ever become fully theirs.

uIt’s all gone very quiet maybe things have settled down and getting back to normal, possibly owners have invested the funds required without a big song and dance.

That is is optimism at its best.

Did they make head office redundancies? If not, its a bad sign. As redundancies would cost money but going under wouldn't as they would pay no-one.

They annunced weeks ago that there would be some back office redundancies because some the work could be picked up by the airline partners

But the question is, has that process been implemented. If not, there is a reason.

Maybe i am , I was talking to a few friends employed at Honiton last night and they seem it’s game over sadly

Most have put in for redundancy hoping it will be sorted before axe falls , If axe falls before then it’s government basic terms .

'Involuntary' means they're getting sacked or made redundant - typo?

They are certainly not taking on flight deck. I was told all pilot recruitment for 2020 is only cadets and no DEP or DEC. Apparently they didn't even take on one experienced ex Airbus rated TC pilot.

Ive no doubt he does wants a much publicity as he can get over this matter ,
However that doesn’t change the fact he is dead right about the fact a company with backers as wealthy as flybe’s should not be bailed out after years of inept at best management by the British taxpayer , The mess they are currently in is solely of their own making .

The mess was not the new owners fault and they have been trying to sort it out
The ramificatons of FlyBe collapsing are huge, not just for the employees but for several regional airports
This thread is rehashing yhe same sort arguments again.
It's yime yo syop and just wait to see what happens

The fate of the company lies with the owners ,they have more than enough cash to support the business, it’s not the treasuries role to support companies that have more than enough resources to fund themselves

Flybe will only collapse if the owners wish it to collapse .
