Would these E190s be the two aircraft currently(?) leased to KLM?

Stobart 190's

As far as I know one of the ex KLM lease aircraft is currently being prepared for Great Dane at EMA and are these not Emb195's which are not certified for LCY?.

It’s EI-GHJ/K that are going to BEE. Both From memory have operated for KLM since they arrived in Europe.

Blue Island EMA

I'm not sure if it's been posted elsewhere , so I do apologize if it has . But Blue Island are taking over the EMA to JER service from the 27th of October, operating with a mix of ATR42/72s. Looks like the aircraft originates in Guensey as they are offering this as a destination from EMA too

Don't they also have other E190s that have been working for BA Cityflyer out of Dublin? Could it be these jets?

The BACF lease of EI-GHK on the 7th July and on EI-GHJ came to a end on 1st October. Both aircraft are currently operated by Stobart onbehalf of KLM.

The aircraft are both ex Virgin Australia and are still fitted with the seats used by VX and are in a 2 class configuration.

Winter season day 2

I mentioned several posts back that with all the recent changes there seemed to be a lot of aircraft on the ground and is there any plan in place to speed up departures especially the Dash 8's.

This is from my paid subscription to FR24 showing the first wave of departures on Monday morning and additions and corrections welcome.

This is only one day and not regular winter ops but as we know that two 190's will replace two Q400's (EDI & BHD) and eventually two ATR76's at the Isle of Man that will replace two Dash 8's but by this time the 175 fleet will be at least 9 and the 195 would have ended service or about to end.

Aberdeen - 3 based BHX, MAN & LHR
Edinburgh - 8 based BHD, BHX, CWL, LCY, LCY, LHR, MAN & SOU - 7 X DH8D & 1 X 175 on BHX (surprise)
Glasgow - 3 based BHD, BHX & SOU - all DH8D'S
Belfast City - 6 based - BHX, EMA, EDI, GLA, LCY, MAN all DH8's
Isle of Man - 2 based - LPL & MAN all DH8D's
Manchester - 7 based - CDG, CDG, DUS, AMS, ABZ, BHD & SOU - 5 X 175'S & 2 X DH8D's
Birmingham - 9 based - CDG, DUS, STR, AMS, AMS, BHD, EDI, GLA & JER. 2 x 195 (CDG/AMS), 4 x 175 (DUS, STR, EDI & GLA) & 3 x DH8D's (AMS, BHD JER)
Cardiff - 1 (overnight) - DUB - DH8D
Exeter - 3 CDG, JER, MAN - all DH8D's
Newquay - 1 - LHR DH8D
Southampton - 6 based CDG, AMS, DUB, BHD, MAN & NCL all DH8D's
Heathrow - 1 overnight - EDI DH8D
Dusseldorf - 1 overnight for Manchester service

51 aircraft required - 2 x 195 (both BHX), 10 x 175 & 39 x DH8D but evening inbound drops to 46 and Thursday morning outbound is 46

Jethro's shows 4 x E195's (3 from next Tuesday), 11 x 175's and 55 x DH8D's.The Edinburgh based 175 is very short-term I think as G-FBJG leaves the fleet in mid November.

By the time Isle of Man is all ATR that could be 20 spare Dash 8's?

Cheers Scottie Dog, it isn't too onerous although FR24 in the route map section show arrivals rather than departures but other than the EDI-BHD-LCY most are fairly straightforward to follow.

I still find it amazing that 25% of the fleet is taken out overnight and goes to show that the new owners now have their feet well and truly under the table but I assume lease payment on some of those grounded aircraft will still have to be paid?

Still waiting to find out if they are keeping the BHX - AMS and BHX - CDG slots for summer but there again no sign of the summer schedule.

Cheers - Just realised why I didn't pick that up, it is due to FR24 routes section show arrivals and I believe LCY departs early but does not return to Exeter straightaway. So that is 52 aircraft but still around 17 on the ground

BOHEuropean - Shocked that is still the case for one aircraft.

Just one flight left at Doncaster in contrast, Cardiff has 9 flights tomorrow despite the 175's leaving (one positioned to BHX earlier).

175 "JJ" FAO-CWL, "JD" 175 - ALC - SOU and 195 "EG" AGP-EXT today were all last services?

BHX-MXP & TXL ended today although both bookable again from late February. BHX - Hanover, Lyon and Hamburg already ended and I assume LCY-DUS, MAN-GLA, MAN-TLS amongst others.

Quite a significant day in Flybe's history really.

Must be a 7th based Dash 8-Q400 at Belfast City so to operate the early Leeds/Bradford service?

Although the loss of the base and people's jobs are a big blow for Cardiff it could've been a lot worse. Flybe will still operate roughly 60 weekly departures and hopefully with a new management at Flybe in place in the long run they may get the base back or at least get more overnighting aircraft with more frequency on the routes that are left.

Have just been on this evening’s final flight between AMS-DSA, marking end of an era. The crew incredibly professional, and it can’t have been an easy day for them.

I wouldn't hold your breath, the big clue is in the title of the new name - Virgin "Connect".

Well only time will tell to see what happens as for the Connect name that could equally apply to connecting the regions as to connecting hubs.

Connecting regions seems high on their agenda.
