Does any of you have a practical knowledge or experience concerning Ryanair group bookings? These introduced a few years ago, made by dedicated team... My experience with other airlines is that in many cases such a group booking incurs in fact the rise in ticket price, by no means any kind of discount. FR does advertise "best ever" group discounts right now. Is it a fair assertion there?

Not the easiest - everything done via email and updating weblinks. There is no phone number that customers can call the groups team on - even to take payment - they call you from a hidden number. Fareswise I've had some reasonable ones - broadly similar to public sites. Link to fill in names 14 days prior to the first flight (minimum - can be filled in outside of this period) - though once completed no changes can be made unless you email the groups team! All passports have to menually typed in - cannot be copied and pasted - so plemnty of room for manual errors. Then have to check them in as normal and download boarding passes. All very labour intensive!

Group bookings were often more expensive, reflecting the risk the airline was taking by blocking off seats - but Ryanair take full payment at the time of booking anyway so not sure where the risk for them is!

Tampere will lose its last Ryanair route. From the end of October flights from Budapest will be shifted to... guess where. To much smaller Lappeenranta (St. Petersburg West
).

Considering the success (operationally) of the SEN base using the short-field performance 738's, does this unlock new airports in the UK/Ireland like Inverness, Norwich, Humberside, Southampton, Cambridge, Oxford, Galway, Donegal, Sligo, Stornoway, Sumburgh???
