Any thoughts on the rumour about the 3 former TCX A330 aircraft? They might be scrapped at MAN as opposed to being flown out to a specialist facility?

I also understand that the regular schedule has been pushed back to January - as per SPD Travel on Twitter.

MLJL is in the hangar. Had some images sent to me yesterday. Last Jet I flew back from SFO a week before we collapsed

I have always posted stats monthly if you take the time to look back !

I would say the MAN figure is good under the circumstances.

I think someone might have sent you pics of the A333 that was in the hangar when the company went burst as all 3 A330’s at MAN are still parked on the apron yesterday.

I keep receiving emails offering 15-20% discount on airport parking
as the car parks are empty, why doesn't the airport offer free parking if you book a flight or holiday ????
the travel market has collapsed,no sign of any recovery, only the possibility of further restrictions.
I refused to fly from Manchester when the drop off and collection charges were applied, profiteering when times were good, annoyed me to such a degree.
Now the travel industry is near to collapse,a nominal discount just doesn't suffice.
Abandon the passenger tax on anyone arriving by car and offer a real incentive for people to use the airport.
Free car parking,or empty car parks, the choice is simple.

Maybe car parking is the only money to be made - are MAG making anything from the airlines that are flying in any volume?

The Carpark charges were brought in to ease congestion. Allegedly.
Not much congestion around airports at the moment.

Scrubbing the drop off charge would be easy, save having to run endless empty buses from the free drop off park, saving gas and not have to man the barrier not working situation. As said before, the charge was for congestion- there isn’t any now- so no need,

There was no congestion before they introduced the charge either. It was just another way to screw more money out of the customers (and staff).

No sympathy here.

Always baffled about the animosity to airports making money. I tend to think that if you can afford to go flying, you can afford three quid.

Liverpool has 40 minutes free in drop off park 2 which is about a 10 minute walk to the terminal, although a fit person would probably do it in about 5 minutes. £4 for 10 minutes thereafter.

Couldn't agree more. Minute amount compared to the amount of money the punters throw at Duty Free and its overpriced shops,. Bars, bars and more bars and fast food Eateries (can't call them Restaurants).

The high prices you pay at those shops and the high charges that airlines pay in landing fees go towards the safe and profitable running of the airport. Adding an extra charge to someone who justs wants to drop off their passenger who has already payed a high price to fly is just petty. As a congestion charge I get it, but there isn't any right now and as a show of good faith it should be abandoned until congestion increases again.
