That's a bit of a surprise but excellent news. 4 x weekly apparently but only from LHR and MAN.

Unfortunately not to Beijing, and only running 15/09 - 30/10 to Chongqing possibly to coincide with the new University year

Virgin are planning to start operating to Islamabad in December, but only if they get approval which they don't have at this time.
Don't forget the Pakistan authorities are not happy with the ban on PIA at the moment.

The next 2 Iberia flights are shown as now operating by Iberia Express, but are then zero'd out until next year.

Does anyone have copies of the official MAG statistics, last I have seen were Feb 2020. I'm sure someone used to post them on here

Think it's more a case of EI trying to interest MAN in transatlantic. Surplus a/c looking for a home on routes cut-back by COVID.

To be honest, wouldn’t take anything ‘SimpleFlying’ say to heart. They seem to post things and then delete them a few hours later when they’ve been proven incorrect, take it with a pinch of salt for now

The case rate is still high in New York alone, with the U.K. seeming to be imposing 14-Day Quarantine over anything above 20 I don’t think the ‘air bridge’ that has been well publicised will happen. Putting a stop to any TATL Ops that Aer Lingus wish to operate.

Plus, with the US only allowing US Residents it’s hard to see how this with happen. Those flights currently operating to the states are operating at 10-30% passenger load.

Absolutely if is unlikely to happen now, but as it says in the article any service is likely to begin in 2021 and run for an initial three years. Hopefully we will know better by then.

Would they be likely to reconfigure the aircraft to all economy like the Thomas Cook offering?

I believe the Irish Govt are debating subsidising the TATL routes out of SNN to keep them there so looking more unlikely

[QUOTE=BHX5DME;10883316]Singapore drop MAN ?

I read elsewhere that it is a temporary drop and they will return in 2021 at the earliest, both Singapore and Houston.

And just in case BHX5DME missed it, earlier in that article, and re Virgin:
From the same date, the Manchester-Barbados route gets a fourth weekly flight, increasing to five a week from 3 January.
