Palma seems to be increasing in attraction as a winter destination.

From no scheduled flights over winter a few years ago, there will no be at least 9 weekly flights with 4 carriers this winter (Jet2, Thomas Cook, Easyjet and Ryanair).

Palma itself is a very nice city break although recent Government changes made to better regulate short term holiday lets (ie. banning them) may impact upon demand to Mallorca across the year.

It's a lovely place. Been a few times in January, weather was around 16C, and it's so peaceful. Bars are open though

Terminal 3 customer service improving.

Just come into departures lounge at T3. 2pm drop off. 1 minute queue only at drop off despite area being down to one lane as road resurfacing work going on outside terminal.
No queue at Ryanair bag drop
All security channels open. No queue.
And free WiFi increased from1 to 4 hours.
Excellent.

Palma is a fantastic city to visit in winter, the last time wewere there was just before christmas. You can find really good deals on accomodation either in the city or in one of the adjecent resorts (Playa de Palma is a 10 min bus journey) Thrtr is lots to do and the really good thing is there are not hordes of tourists!!

May be a few months later, but Just a reminder of the VLM schedule, which was posted in March. But don’t forget, VLM had no intention of launching the route.

MAG are taking customer feedback seriously and this looks like an attempt to address some specific issues which have been high on the complaints list.

Thomas Cook to increase their Hurgarda route to 8 weekly this winter. There will be 2 flights on Fridays. There are also rumours that there will be low cost competition on this route come November too.

In other news, Ryanair seem to have reduced the Frankfurt route from 6 to 5 weekly June-October. Seems this is one battle LH seem to be winning.

My guess is for the ground crew to get a play with and a bit of publicity, new aircraft and all that, wouldn`t be suprised
if Turkish do the same as they are scheduled into BHX this summer

Trial before it becomes a permanent change?

Does it fit if they need to use it? Sort of test? I'm sure others have done similar but can't recall any without another cup of coffee.
