Thunderstorms are a standard part of summer effecting departures from all airports, not just STN. I mustered the little gem about the runway closure due to holes from the fact that I had to divert twice last summer and again just a few days ago. The runway is falling apart. Omniserve (fail to) manage the PRM service as a monopoly at the behest of MAG. MAG are responsible for the management of their airport and their service providers.
2 occasions out of 365 days. I fail to see how that is classed as repeatedly but there we go.
Your moniker suggests you may have something to do with airport ops and if so you will know about the condition of the runway. You will also know that it is often closed at short notice as a result of holes appearing amongst the multitude of previous repairs. it's called a lack of investment. I have diverted together with other aircraft, three times in the last year, it has been closed on other occasions leading to other diversions, I think we can consider that as "repeatedly". It all adds to many collective hours of delays associated directly with the running of the airport but you appear to be in denial so let's leave this forum to the spotters now shall we.

Neither Amritsar nor Ahmedabad are business centres, and Flypop say they plan to rely on VFR traffic. I realise that after the demise of Jet there is now a gap in the nonstop UK-India market, but without any kind of feeder network, how on earth will Flypop actually make any money ? Can they not just start with something short haul instead ?

Interesting viewing available today on SAT1 with a three different wide-bodies parked on the Alpha’s. Emirates B77W on A13, Maleth Aero A346 on A12 and HiFly A388 on A11.
Gives a great perspective of the difference in size of these planes. Also shows Stansted can conformably handle these aircraft on stand at once.
