No trace so far. Shouldn't that be MSX iso MSR?

Yes this was cancelled. No the flight screen we use was showing MSR. It’s due to be operating on the 25th Hopefully it comes in but this is the second times it’s been due and hasn’t shown up, so my hopes are dwindling.

No sign of anything showing up. Is Putin playing with the AP board? Or some troll?

Only posting what I can see on the flight screens. Egyptair Cargo must have some intentions on operation if flights are showing on our screens.
Yes it appears they aren’t operating currently, hopefully they will at some stage.

Should have started late Nov/early Dec but nothing confirmed as yet.
Will be surprised if it actually happens.

Have STN released any plans for what may happen after the arrivals building opens? I assume that the current arrivals areas will be used for departing passengers? Hopefully they will choose to expand the seating areas and allow natural daylight to enter the circulation spaces. More seating, circulation and lounge spaces would be welcome. I suspect the ratio of shops to seats will be 3:1?

The ‘Stansted Transformation Project’ is if I remember due to last until 2023 and will include any changes and improvements and construction happening until then.
The main points are:
• New Arrivals Building
•Change to current Building
•New Stands
•New Runway links
•New SAT2 link bridge.
•Expand the APV (Bussing Terminal)
•Car Park Improvments

https://www.airport-technology.com/p...ion-programme/

This website has some information but not a total overview of what will be happening.
Other bits that will happen at some stage will be a total renovation of SAT 2 & 3. A possible SAT 4 a link/sky bridge that will connecting all satellites together similar to the one at LGW.

I seem to recall that the entire current terminal will have end to end shoreline check in desks, splitting the terminal in two, land side and air side, A seating area will go above the shops and restaurants air side, I think above the shoreline check in area probably with a large glass screen to separate it as airside, I also heard that Jet2 are wanting a designated satellite but things have gone quiet on that front. Also talk of another business lounge, probably for Emirates and other longhaul airlines yet to be announced. If my calculations are correct 2 more stands will become available before the summer peak, and another 4 after that, my numbers might be slightly out but by the end of 2019 there should be approx 10 new stands of which 3 are now operational. Of course we must not forget the multi-storey car park that is currently under construction. There will also be junction improvements to the A120 and M11.

Yeah that’s the still the current plan to have the shoreline extended from end to the other. It will run from around Zone H to the new WHSMITHs in arrivals. We will be looking at having around 130 desks which most will be self service. Also it’s very likely that the check-in desk will be non airline specific so a Jet2 passenger can check-in for FAO then an EasyJet passenger can check-in for AMS.
From what I understand all restaurants outlets have been asked if they want to expand upwards to a mezzanine level and most like the idea currently. Weatherspoons have extend to an extra 500 seat I believe this is waiting to be kitted and should be open for summer. Burger King will have an expansion to soon when they take over the current next store for additional seating.
In terms of stand we have recently opened 90-91L/R and we will have up to 95 L/R by the summer.
Emirates have been keen to open a new lounge in SAT1 for sometime and this should open for when the second daily flight launches.
In terms of Jet2 they have looked into the chance of their own SAT but with the lack of flights currently after the first wave and before second, it’s unlikely this will happen for a long time. But I know they are very keen to keep expanding at a gradual rate. I can see more flights being released for next winter.

From a purely passenger standpoint that sounds promising.
To me it feels like no managerial level team have tried to travel through STN.
Why, for example, are there no visible departure boards at the entrance to the people movers/satellites?
The journey through duty free & retail is long and winding, but would be less irritating if obstacles like overcrowded benches weren’t in the narrow corridors. It’s just really difficult to circulate.
The toilets are quite far apart. I think one set by Pret and one just after security.
The satellites are quite shabby by now, especially 1 & 2 and have poor provision of refreshments.
The Escape lounge is small, has small windows and almost sub-terranian.
Most of these things arent hugely difficult to solve, hopefully a mezzanine level and a reconfiguration could improve many of these problems.

Satellite one is far from shabby, in fact it’s very impressive.

I’d concur. Sat 3 is also in good shape.

My complaint about Sat 2 international would be that the few times I’ve used it in recent years it’s been a bit overcrowded. Domestic Sat 2 also isn’t too bad, just lacking slightly in natural light compared to the others. But it is functional.

I can see why generic flight monitors are not placed in between itsu and the people mover doors - it would probably lead to overcrowding
That said it would be nice if some sort of confirmation was made to ensure those boarding the people mover should board and not go to another pier - it takes a long long time to escape from gates 1-39 and return to the main departures area

When confirmed dates are released I’m sure they’ll be posted on here.

Satellite one has the former KL lounge now occupied by Weatherspoons? To me, the area had the feeling of a quality build which hasn't had anything spent on it over the intermediate twenty years.

If ITSU wasn't there to begin with....
