Will we see a decline in pax in 2019?

Primeria, Cobalt and Flybe gone. BA and EW both significantly reducing ops. FR and EZY both remain stagnant at the moment. Will the growth slow or even reverse?

I'm sure Jet2 will keep piling in capacity.

Introduction of Laudermotion, possibility of a second daily Emirates,
Extra capacity from Jet2
and an extra route from Air Corsica. There is also Pobeda.

im not holding my breath but MAG is working extremely hard on securing a transatlantic replacement for the loss of Primera. I think we won’t see much Decline in passenger numbers, maybe a stagnant year ahead, However who know what might be in the pipeline.

Didn’t realise that Eurowings were ‘significantly’ reducing operations? To what extent compared to Summer ‘18?

At the moment all routes apart from CGN appear to be dropped after march.

Jet2 2019

Have spoken to one of Jet2’s supervisors last night and they told me what the STN would look like next year during peak summer.
14 based Jet2 aircraft
4 Titan Airways aircraft. B767, B757, A321’s
Also Jet2 are looking at a AGP base and this would offer ‘W Pattern’ Flights to STN.
Also Jet2.com and the holidays devisions are looking to add a call centre into Endeavour House at STN in the future.

Is that 14 Jet2 aircraft PLUS the 4 Titan aircraft making 18 total or 14 total of which 4 will be Titan?

it looks like you are suggesting 18 total aircraft operating for Jet2 which if true is a massive uplift from 2018

As I posted, this is the information a Jet2 supervisor told me last night. They did not say about new routes or further increases on current routes. They just told me aircraft numbers we will have in PEAK SUMMER SEASON.

Even 14 based a/c working for Jet2 whether their own frames or lease in still appears to be an uplift on the earlier predicted 12 for peak Summer`19.

First LDM/Laudamotion service from VIE flown this AM with a A321.

In the interest of reporting balance EWG cease VIE.

However a net increase of I service daily & capacity as LDM twice daily & utilize the A321 six times pw as well as A320.

I visited Stansted for a couple of hours yesterday and was intrigued to see an Allegiant A320 (I think it was an A320) appear from the Diamond hangar. It was too far off to be able to read the reg which is on a white stick on label but it seems to be a "G" reg. Does anyone have any info on what this may be?
Many thanks

Think EasyJet have sold some older Airbus to Allegient - there were 3 or 4 early this year at the diamond hangar undergoing maintenance.

Nitucable because the livery is very similar to J2Holidays

Thanks Whitelighter. You are right about the similarity with the Jet2 livery. I had in fact assumed it was a Jet2 aircraft when I first saw it. I seem to remember having read a news item somewhere about Allegiant having their Airbus purchases being painted and converted at Diamond.

EasyJet have sold quite a few older A319’s to Allegiant and Volotea. I believe it was at least 3 planes to each airline earlier in the year. It may have been more.
I believe G-EZEZ, G-EZIP and G-EJAR are all on their way out. G-EZEZ was outside the Diamond hangar the other day in full Allegiant colours.

Thanks for that STN406. I believe you have cracked it! I found a photo on Jet Photos of G-EZEZ outside a paint shop, Airbourne Colours, at East Midlands on Oct 20th. This is in Allegiant colours with a white stick-on strip showing the G-EZEZ reg.
I have just seen info that suggests this will be going to Allegiant as N314NV
Cheers

Uttlesford (UDC) officers recommended conditional approval of MAG`s application for expansion at STN to 43m pax on 22.10.

In the interest of posting balance here the application will be determined later this month by the full UDC Planning Committee.

Local objectors are now putting their faith in individual Councillors at the planning meeting for any possible overturn of the recommendation.

Further to the Allegiant A319 saga: I watched G-EZIP going out for a "test drive" from Stansted yesterday. The track showed a full tour around East Anglia, with altitudes varying from 13,000ft to 39,000ft. As this one was returning to Stansted, Alleginat N315NV (ex G-EJAR) departed Stansted for delivery to the US. It seems it went first to Bangor, Maine, presumably to get more go juice, then off to Puerto Rico. Stansted to Bangor ME; that is a long way for an A319 surely?
