Nice to see passengers awaiting their flights relaxing on the grass outside the SEN Terminal this afternoon - not sure you can do that at STN!!
The grass is always greener (on the other side of the estuary perhaps) but the slope between the terminal and the bus station is much appreciated by those topping off their tans before heading into the heat of hell! ;-)

Sorry, but your rebuttal is completely lost upon me - not to mention the topic. You guess that I ''will have or are looking for sympathizers''. Although unfounded, even that possibility seems to somehow concern you, otherwise why would you bother to mention it? In any event - and for goodness sake - why should I need ''sympathisers'' anyway?

Incidentally, do you really think that I could stir up ''potential ill feeling amongst the more local contributors''? Wow!

So before the Stansted thread gets locked and closed by the Mods - Can you all just draw a line and move on please? For the sake of the rest of us... Who incidentally, have wasted an entire evening reading absolutely nothing. Nada.

Cheers and...

Amen.

Any report/feedback or modification of procedures following the recent bus fire outside the terminal at STN?

Yes,the Jet2 Summer`19 for STN is looked forward to...

It will be interesting though as only earlier in the month they announced an extra 50k seats for this Summer (for 10 frames) & an extra 40k seats for this Winter...

I`ve lost track partly with all the other base announcements recently how the B738 allocation & distribution is progressing & how many more frames from Boeing are to be delivered, notwithstanding the extra 2nd hand airframes also being acquired this year...

The 2nd hand frames are at present allocated to Northern bases whilst the STN base has been exclusively new machines...

I note that capacity is being upped evidently at MAN partly through the allocation there of another A330 ...

Whilst not obviously expecting that kind of uplift it will be interesting to see if EXS expand their arrangement with AWC for A321`s at least for the STN base next year...
& is due to go from I to 2 here anyway this Summer...

AWC are acquiring 2 extra 321`s allocated to EZY in Germany in the first instance but AWC are astute enough to look beyond one contract & do not take airframes on charge lightly...

Not wishing to strike a morbid note but having the flexibility of now their own base in progress at STN at least 2 EXS medical diversions have taken practical advantage with flights enroute the Northern bases...

Sadly I was anticipating this, maybe not so soon but wondered what would happen in this circumstance, I guess the passengers have been re booked on other carriers or refund or rebooked on alternative dates.

Will be interesting to see how this played out over then next few days.

According to some sources the aircraft is a clapped out piece of **** so not unexpected. Probably chartered because it was the cheapest around. Not a good start to say the least.

Looks nice though.

First A321 due on Monday. Scheduled to run the Spanish routes initially but I wonder if they'll change that

Yes...absolutely the `75 has a great livery...

Good news on the A321 arrival it will be nice to eventually see in the metal & I guess it`s deployment may change although PRI did state they would make use of the 321 on the Spanish runs from STN for crew training purposes...

Shame that at least two other 321`s are built awaiting late delivery on the CFM LEAP`s.

Although not best practice for reputational purposes,I`m sure the reported AOG & the 321 late deliveries will be funded from other organisations pockets...

You may be right financially but the reputational damage will be all Primera`s

Not quite sorted yet if this comment on twitter is anything to go by

Flight cancelled last night to New York as charter plane had a faulty engine.
Same aircraft tonight and now delayed from 5.55pm to 01.30am Tuesday morning.
2 days holiday now lost in New york.

It’s a real shame to the start of the operation to the states. It’s a shame, but hopefully the National aircraft will be repaired and will hold out till the A321’s are able to operate. If not hopefully Titan maybe able to help out with one of their 757’s or the 767.

Also does anyone know what the plans will be once Primera get the A321LR’s are they for Paris operation or new Routes slightly further into the states and Canada?
