Former Monarch A320 ZBAH was seen in keflavik yesterday registered as ES-ZGI on its way fron Victorville to Tallinn. I really thought that this one would be beer cans by now

I also believe the company has not yet 'officially' been liquidated but I could be wrong. It took Links Air about six months to be Liquidated after Suspension.

Although the majority of these are not yet flying, most of them have now got new owners and should be back in the air soon.

A search of the companies house website for Monarch Airlines shows that the company is still in Administration. The webiste under filing history will link to the latest report from KPMG, dated May 2018. Secured creditors, essentially the Mehoyas family ,are to be paid 100% as they are secured creditors. Everybody else is going to receive nothing!

https://www.ttgmedia.com/news/news/m...extended-15546 Can anybody remember when the last 737Max was meant to be delivered? If the company can be kept alive the order is still valid and the aircraft can be placed elsewhere. I can guess the tax haven the money will disappear into and which family will benefit.

MAEL
MAEL - I believe interested parties were taken around the BHX facility before the admin but I don't have any further information other than the mountain of charges against the BHX hangar including Petrol Jersey as displayed at Companies House.
There is one Norwegian 789 and one Air Malta A320 outside the BHX facility at the present time.
Flybe have taken some of the staff and lets hope for a speedy and positive resolution for the rest of the employees.

Shocking photo but it was the best I could do. Through the trees the Monarch cabin crew trainer has been exposed during HQ refurbishment. I don't know if it was used in the latter years.
From the Reykjavik Grapevine-
A credit card company, Korta, that WOW Air had close ties with, got into trouble after the bankruptcy of the budget airline Monarch went bust.

The cabin trainer was used when I joined in 2016. Pilots weren’t allowed down the slide, but the Cabin Crew were...
While I know that none of the Max-8’s were ever handed over to Monarch, does anyone know which airlines the allocated frames / MSNs went to? I heard “SCAT” airlines for the first one (which was due for acceptance testing when Mon went under), and there’s a rumour the Lion Air aircraft that sadly crashed was originally going to be the 7th or 8th aircraft delivered to Monarch...
