easyJet Hold Baggage Policy for two pax on same reservation

I have a reservation for two pax on easyJet next week with hand baggage only. I now want to add one only hold bag for one of the two pax on the same reservation.

easyJet say you can only add a bag to the reservation not an individual pax meaning I would have to pay a total of £88 instead of the published fee of £22/bag each way = £44.

Has anybody found a way around this problem?

You used to be able to do what you want by adding hold bag(s) to the reservation (for all passengers) and then deleting any bags for passengers who don't need one before you click Confirm.

I don't know if it still works that way, but it might be worth checking out.

I booked a flight for 2 of us without hold luggage some weeks ago but last week decided to add just 1 hold bag onto the booking.

Having just looked at the booking and charge again, you do only get charged for 1 bag but either passenger can have that bag.
Both boarding cards state hold baggage 'yes' but obviously because it was only added to the overall booking and not the individual, the option needs to be available on both boarding cards in case 1 passenger doesn't travel for instance.

It was your thread that prompted me to look but I certainly wasn't charged for 1 bag each... Just one bag each way on the booking itself.

Is there not a 'live chat' facility on the website that might be able to help you? I managed to transfer baggage using this on the flying harp's website recently.

I have a booking for two with two hold bags. I wanted to add a third bag for our return journey.

Went to manage booking clicked check in ( even though I am already checked in) went to add baggage and added one extra bag for £20 for 20 kilos. Simples!

My booking now shows two people and three bags.
