Just when you thought you'd never hear of this again, 5 years later the Extrajet website has been updated and they are now actively recruiting for Embraer 175 pilots.

- They have recently identified and secured a NASDAQ OTC listed shell and planning to reverse Extrajet into the shell.
- Seeking to raise the sum of $250.000 prior to the 1st July 2020 (Pre-merger) in exchange for 5%
- Want to start flight operations in March 2021, have already signed up to use the "World ticket solution" (GDS)
- Actively advertising for Embraer 170 type rated pilots.
- Plan to operate a 5x Embraer 170s within the first year using Maltese based Maleth Aero AOC.
- Plans to operate to the following destinations: Paris, Vienna, Antwerp, Leeds / Bradford, Copenhagen, Lyon, Zurich, London City, Hamburg, Berlin, Munich, Nuremberg, Strasbourg, Luxembourg, Milan

Somer interesting ideas - don't say where the base for the "quick change" hub will be?

Initially, we will set up two, twice daily routes, both early morning and late evening, In this way we will serve a number of key business destinations every other day from our base. This will give our customers access to a multitude of destinations by using our base as a “Quick change” hub.
Extrajet’s unique system for pricing tickets, is based on the Uber concept of collective discounts. The more people who fly with us the cheaper the ticket. All flights start with one price per ticket of €300 per seat (one way) regardless of destination and the price will reduce based on increased occupancy. The relevant discount will be credited directly to our clients accounts on completion of each flight.
The minimum investment amount is $10.000 with a maximum of $250.000. All funds will be returned if we do not secure the full amount. We estimate a return on investment of 20 x money invested within 1 year.
Please do not send us cash in the post, we cannot and will not accept it.

Would Maleth Aero really allow use of their AOC by pilots who work for a different company ? I'd be a bit hesitant on this...

I dont know anything about this setup, but I believe they already do? OryxJet uses their AOC and is advertising vacancies.

The aircraft paragraph they have only mentions the E170 so I’m not sure where the mention of the E175 from a prior post comes from. Sure they could well be E170-200. (E175) However, it doesn’t mention this anywhere

The CAA will simply love it. A virtual airline, one of the management team who is persona non grata, and a crowdfunding campaign to fund it with assurances of huge returns on investment. What could possibly go wrong?

Unless it's through a regulated crowd funding platform, there are rules around advertising investments like this. Which from what I can see, they are not adhering to.

The CAA 'Airline Ticket Agent' rules are now pretty sound to give them free reign to quash whatever they don't like. This bit in particular had me chuckling and won't swing with the CAA or any PSP (payment service provider):
Q: If I purchase tickets from Extrajet, how certain can I be that I do not lose my money?

A: We operate under IATA so your bookings are guaranteed.

Another half-baked bunch of idiots looking to burn other peoples cash. Anyone reputable at the helm or just a kid with website?

The blurb inviting people to apply for jobs is pretty disgraceful, really:

Are you one of the many thousands of people in the
airline industry who is either out of a job or
about to lose your job due to coronavirus?

It's a scary time to be unemployed!

Extrajet Ltd is now hiring Pilots, Co-pilots & Cabin crew
(those with licenses / experience on E-jet type aircraft)
It is indeed a scary time to be unemployed. I don't think anyone who is there requires James Thorpe to tell them that. The advert feels very much targeted towards playing on insecurities to invite applicants to show interest, when that simply shouldn't be necessary if this venture is confident in its own success.

And in terms of whether there is anyone reputable at the helm - have a read of the website, and look up the previous operators quoted.

Have I understood this right? You pay €300 for your ticket but depending on the load factor, you’ll get a refund of X amount depending on how full the flight is?

If I owned an airline and someone was willing to pay €300 for their ticket, why on earth would I give them part of the money back as a gesture? I don’t get this one bit.

I got an email from them today after sending them in my CV. They want 2500€ up front to even apply. If you're applying for a FO position then its a mere 1750€. They say that if you're unsuccessful at interview then you will receive the money back. I had my brother-in-law who is a lawyer look up their lawyer on the Danish Bar website, and he wasn't able to find him.

I had the same email. Really doesn’t sound legit. Emailed ‘Bram’ asking a question or two and no reply yet. Neither has he connected on LinkedIn. And as has already been said, 175 into LCY? If they’re ex-flybe (and I’d imagine Stobart, although I may be wrong) they didn’t have the steep approach button installed...

I'm even more shocked and surprised than I was before. That's outrageous, and I hope no-one falls for this.
