According to air industry analysts OAG, just over one in ten Flybe flights are significantly delayed.

Still think it is just about stobart to and from Isle of man ...????

I flew MAN-SOU last week and it was bang on time. Good flight and the Q400 is perfect for this job.

Broadening the topic, I must confess to having lost the thread a bit now with Flybe and its MAN hub operations. What have we got from this winter onwards?

Flybe itself on many routes
Stobart for Flybe in Flybe colours or anonymous white on IOM/SEN
Eastern for Flybe in ?? colours on INV/GLA/any more
and Loganair now in competition with the above on GLA/ABZ/NWI

Do all the above still code-share through the hub and also connect with other carriers at MAN?

Help!

Well it is correct. There are no Loganair codeshares at the moment.

You say watch this space, I presume for future codeshares coming online. But of course that is not at the moment, as stated.

Appears flybe's decision to outsource its maintenance at MAN and BHX a few years back might end up costing them dearly if the rumours about the future of its partnership with their current maintenance provider are true....

You really need to clarify what the rumour is when posting, otherwise, the post is meaningless.

Monarch currently provide line maintenance at MAN and BHX.

Yes the reason was the last recession and the decision was to outsource it which, whether we like it or not, helped the company to continue trading. We're in a slightly different financial state now so I guess that's why it's being reviewed.

Problem is the options are limited , Taking maintenance back in house might be easier said than done...

Interestingly, Cityjet seem to increasingly look to promote incentives lately. Too early to draw any conclusions on whether or not this is pre-emptive marketing to remain on an offensive footing knowing Flybe has ignited services out of Southend now and with new routes commencing during the approaching Autumn period and through the Winter too, senthe out today:

Dear Subscriber,

As a valued CityJet subscriber, we would really like to show you our appreciation by offering you an exclusive 25% OFF* CityJet flights!

Yes, that’s up to 25% off flights on our London City Airport to Antwerp, Avignon, Dublin, Florence and Toulon routes.

Naturally there’s a small restriction on the travel period, which we’ve outlined below, but don’t forget, each and every one of our flights includes:

• Free Check-In Bag
• Free Drinks and Snacks
• Free Seat Selection

Now that’s flying as it used to be, priced as it should be.

Book now on CityJet.com using the code ‘exclusive17’.

If the pay rates for engineers at flybe are as derisory as those for other staff i very doubt you could even recruit enough qualified staff to carry out in house maintenance

Salaries may not be the very best at Flybe but there is more to a job than just the salary
