Slightly random question - I've seen it said that the purple livery is the "new livery". Is this something that is being applied to all aircraft or just a select few. If it is every aircraft, does anyone have idea when that will be finished by? It seems to be taking a while.

Ok cool, thanks, I need to book flights to Paris for July and still not released to date unlike other UK destinations where they've been released

Coathanger16 In answer it is a big job as it can take upto a week per aircraft and at present
it seems to be the prop aircraft with a couple of EMB-195 and there are limited places it can be done

chaps1954 - I appreciate it is a big job to repaint your entire fleet. I suspect as a relatively small airline, Flybe will be repainting aircraft when they're due to be repainted anyway.

Compare them to American who have changed their livery in recent years and look at how many aircraft they have already painted.

A good percentage of the prop fleet now painted, one problem as I said lack of painting facilities
as they cannot do them at Exeter so most go to Norwich or Southend I think when slots are available.

Are Flybe operating Dublin to Inverness next summer ?

Friend looking to book but nothing available and worried flights cancelled at end of winter.

I don't think Loganair have firmed up their timetables just yet. So it's a case of sitting tight RE: DUB-INV

I suspect as a relatively small airline
Flybe are currently operating over 70 aircraft, depends what you classify as small I guess.

Flybe have released some more of their summer sun flights for 2017 namely for Exeter, Norwich and Cardiff from what I can see, Norwich also gets a few extra rotations over the Xmas holidays for the AGP and ALC

Just had email from CWL Airport about the new FCO flights and it clearly states "more still to be announced........"

Looks like some additional routes for CWL to be added on the 2nd phase of Summer 2017 routes....anyone know anymore ?

Also note that Blue Islands have the route licence to operate GCI-CWL-GCI, I assume this will be under the BE franchise too

Amazing what an airport can do with subsidised flights

It is all academic, the second the subsidies dry up and the routes have to support themselves BE will be out the door in a shot. See other marginal airports that they have served previously for evidence.

Rivet Joint you need to get over it and move on, it isn't going to change by you having a dig on internet forum.

Rivet Joint...seeing as it's a 10-year deal that isn't going to happen soon.....

But, you surely cannot deny that Rivet Joint has a point to his comment. Simple fact - as I see it.

Basically the Welsh Government are subsidising travel which to me is absurd. Hopefully the business cost/benefit to Wales is greater than just making holidays cheaper for Welsh citizens?
