To be honest I can`t see Easy operating any of those other than maybe Ibiza and Toulous and seem to go for the big cities to compete with the legacy carriers and in general not against Ryanair but as Easy is probably at it`s limit at Gatwick
they may well start to mirror there

It would also be great to see some more Spanish cities like Seville, Jerez and Santiago de Compostela on the departure boards.

B-8157 is owned by a division of Hainan although somewhat curiously it's registered to Beijing Capital Airlines who were rumoured to be looking at BHX charters.

Hainan related or Beijing Capital ?

Neither just a few Hedge fund managers to watch the local kick about !

Its actually owned by R and F Properties and they are tangentially tied in with Airport City or what ever the office development is called.

Never take anything Chinese at face value especially in aviation - All lines lead to the Party elite !

Potential new Vueling route to Paris Orly.

It's appearing as direct on the route map and has the yellow dot to signify direct in the booking engine. No flights are bookable yet, but it could also be for the Manchester City match against Paris St Germain on 6th April.

Hopefully it's a new route.

6/7 Apr & 12/13 Apr only. So, it's only for the Champions League matches.

(Get a really good deal if you want to travel in the 'opposite' direction than the fans!)

Does anyone know what is happening to this evenings' EK19, A388? According the Flightradar 24 there have been two rejected approaches and is now circling 8000ft above Blackburn. Thanks

It wasn't undercarriage problems.

It was the onboard FMS computers advising that the MAN runways were too short, cancelling the flight plan and causing the pilots to go around. Went to LHR as had an extra 900ft to play with.

Local reports in MAN said u/c probs. Surely the FMS can be overridden or is hand flying banned on Emirates?

Everyone is safe, excellent! But this has got me thinking. Obviously the crew made the correct decision based on their training and protocols. But in theory, 1) Can the pilots not over ride the "system" and land manually as they have done many times at MAN? or 2) Is the runway at MAN borderline for an A380 given poor wet conditions, heavy aircraft and the computer just said 'No, not tonight son'?

Just for fun. Thanks.

10000ft and 10007ft runways are well within a fully loaded A380 capabilities for stopping in the wet and it has been done many times at MAN. This sounds like a fault with a crew unwilling to hand fly, for whatever reason.

One factor may have been a 30 degree crosswind which at 20 mph shouldn't have caused a problem but some of the gusts were up to 50 mph and they are probably well outside limits on a wet runway. Should be interesting on Monday at Heathrow when Katie hits.

METAR reports give 200 degrees @13kts wind, so wind was not an issue here.

That would be a mean speed. What were the gusts?
