My impression that the A333 with 305 pax (30/275) is seen less frequently than it used to be. I'm not sure whether the A332 is the version configured 24/248 or 24/256, but probably the former. If all the flights were A332 with 272 seats, then an average load of 240 in January would be a LF of 88%, and if all the flights had been A333, (which they certainly were not), the LF would be 78%. I'm sure we had more of the A332, so a LF of 85% maybe? Not unhealthy by any means. Of course, you could argue that the smaller version is used because of slightly reduced demand. On the other hand, it may simply depend on the equipment available with a A333 being found when heavier loads are booked.
Let's see what happens now the 4 x weekly evening flight has been introduced.

In general do you think France is somewhat underserved?
Until the recent Marseille announcement that for me was a gaping hole.
Nice is an interesting one as its well served by Jet2 in peak summer, but frequencies are weak either side and no link in winter. I know Easyjet fly daily+ year round from Liverpool but even so it seems a little weak from MAN.
More from Lyon and Bordeaux seem good calls.
Has anyone ever tried a Paris Orly service?
What about Strasbourg on the border?
As for a 'mid German' route - what about Stuttgart?
With regards Bratislava - as rightly pointed out, its only about 70km from Vienna with reasonable transport links. Maybe you lot are right, it needs Austrian to kick LS off the Vienna route which might then allow Ryanair onto Bratislava.
With regards Katowice. On the numerous times i flew it with Ryanair, it was always 90% plus full. What was noticable however was the, ahem low rent passengers. I was often the only paid taker for overwing extra legroom seats and they usually had to move people to the other 3 rows to cover them. Maybe rather low yield?.....

I'm a little surprised and disappointed to see some MAN supporters keen to see Jet2 pull off the Vienna route in favour of FR to Bratislava. Ryanair has had plenty of opportunity to provide this route but for various reasons including the proximity of the service from other UK airports has chosen not to. Be careful what you wish for, even if Austrian start (and I hope they do) who is to say they will keep the route going when things get tough again as they will at some time. Don't forget that Jet2 are a consistent decent quality outfit, as much as I'm pleased with the FR growth at MAN, we need to remember those partners at the airport who have grown steadily over the years. FR could go/stop expanding (more likely) tomorrow, and we could easily be in the position of BHX. Also FR chop and change routes on a whim so you never know whether any specific route will be operated next season. Let's have a bit more appreciation of what we have gained rather than getting unreasonably picky resulting in us loosing services - remember when MAN decided there was no future in LCCs and it has taken many years to get back to where we should be. Let's not blow it by taking airlines/routes for granted.

DomyDom - I agree completely with your reaction to the Jet2 comment, but I believe it is the expressed opinion of a single poster rather than a widespread sentiment. That remark grated with me too. Jet2 are doing a fine job for MAN.
Ryanair's contribution is also laudable, although their growth at MAN for Summer 2015 appears very limited. If this is (as suggested elsewhere) due to issues concerning stand availability at T3 we may see RYR growth at MAN plateau for a while. I do hope that MAG will seek short-term solutions to facilitate Ryanair's continued growth curve at MAN pending the expected major terminal re-development in the longer term. Fuel connections to 56/57/58 would be a good start, along with further incentives to persuade a couple of carriers to switch from T3 to T1/T2. There will always be instances (such as Monarch) where an operator will reduce its programme, so by way of compensation MAG must do their utmost to accommodate the plans of carriers minded to offer healthy growth.

Yes, Orly was served from here a good few years ago. Air Littoral used
to operate Fk100's but it didn't last too long - about 12 months if I'm not mistaken. Nearly all Paris traffic from UK goes through CDG but I think BA
do offer LHR-Orly.

Ive been hearing from several rumours that Vueling have been interested in opeing a MAN base, to represent IAG in running low cost flights from MAN and potentially feeding oneworld airlines, particularly long haul.
To add to the rumour, this press release appeared today, around the opening of Timisoara Airport in Romania:
Seems a rather odd route for them to look into, which would probably need a based unit, if not, a W-pattern (ei BCN-MAN-TSR-MAN-BCN at the minimum.
