From what I gather, VLM needs three Fokker 50 at FDH, two at ANR and one each at HAM and WAT for VG- and WX-branded flights. That leaves four to play around with short-term leases, maintenance etc. So the BE operation should be for 1 or 2 aircraft max.

Here is the article from 29th January:
"De tweede Fokker 50, met registratie OO-VLF, wordt binnenkort in de kleuren van Vizion Air gespoten."

The second Fokker 50, with registration OO-VLF, will soon be painted in the colors of Vizion Air.

Out of interest why is there a need for FlyBe to notify people their flight will be operated on a VLM aircraft.
I have turned up for many flights around the globe to find the flight has been operated by a different airline/aircraft than I had expected, but very rarely told of it in advance.
The contract is with the airline to operate a flight to get you from point A to point B.

People should be told exactly who is operating their flight if it is different to the one selling the ticket. FlyBE inform you when Loganair or Stobart fly the flight so you know who is operating it. I think VLM will be the same. Interestingly when you buy a NCL STN flight it's listed as a Loganair flight, but it's actually BMI regional branded aircraft you'll be flying on.
People should have a right to see exactly what they're buying. If I bought a flight from the island, and it was subbed to a dodgy operator who shall remain nameless, I'd stop the booking process and look elsewhere. If it came to light after booking, I'd cancel. No doubt the Ts and Cs would mean I couldn't get w refund, but I'd rather stay goodbye to the money than risk my safety.
