Hmmm, that looks to be a tad more serious than some of the other SEN start-ups which never amounted to anything. Let's hope this one's genuine and successful. A Munich service could be a good choice, but would face competition from EZY at STN.

That was my initial thought also. The delayed launch now means there is more time for the airport to 'officially' announce their arrival (if it does go ahead), more lead up time for bookings, and the fact that Maleth-Aero are looking for employees is also a positive sign. Sea Air have done better than previous start-ups because they have in the past actually flown flights.
Just a little more information to add to this story.
B733 9H-AJW is currently undergoing a maintenance check at Lasham for operation by Sea Air under the Maleth Aero AOC and it is due to depart Lasham around 10 April.

I must say I find the schedule a bit odd. Does it mean the B733 will sit at SEN all day after returning from MUC 5 days a week? Also the arrival times at MUC and OSI are 2 hours difference. Surely it doesn't take 2 hours to overfly Bavaria and continue to Croatia. I suggest on two days a week the OSI flies via MUC. Let's see what Southend Airport has to say about this.

Echo website link:
Munich just 90 minutes away as flights begin from Southend Airport (From Echo)
Trains:
Timetable changes usually occur in May. I have checked GA's website and tried a dummy booking for early June and there appears to be no difference at all. Can Runwayman not clarify his post?

I wish them all the best with this route, but if the general public all share the same attitude as this ignorant individual from the comments on that article then I fear it may be short lived. '
'Was so thrilled when I read the headline as my Son lives in Munich and I live ten minutes from Southend Airport - then the dissapointment to read it was not going to be with Easy Jet and such a high price - so back to Stanstead '
Hopefully the service will be well advertised and enough people will see that it is worth paying a little extra for the convenience of flying from an airport on your doorstep.

I never suggested that you have posted re Sea Air. A quick check of my post will show you that my comment re timetable changes is under a sub-heading "Trains", a subject on which you have posted.

Not sure why runwayman didn't answer but he is almost certainly referring to the new national express service which will provide a late departure and early arrival to the airport from London. At least late arriving and early departing passengers, (upto 2345 at least) now have an option other than a taxi.
Just a couple of additional points regarding the new A90 coach service.
The departure from SEN can be delayed until midnight if necessary and tickets can be bought on the National Express website, at the Moneycorp desk at SEN where an information sheet is available, or from the coach driver (cash only).
